also MC i saw this on ebay the other day i think so you might want to check it out there too.

Thanks, gals. I did check that vendor's website and then on eBay (the same seller), but he doesn't have that style up for sale right now. I'll keep an eye out for it and hopefully I can check it out in person next week at BBB and make sure it looks good. I think it will, but I want to be sure. I almost ordered another silver necklace from Tiffany.com to tide me over for the summer, but cannot believe how much their prices have risen! I Paid $115 or so for my starfish necklace, but now it's around $195!

Flat out ridiculous.

actually i just looked and it''s on ebay now MC. Maybe a diff seller but i think it''s like $425.

Yep, you''re right. I see one for even cheaper. I''m sort of skeptical as that seems like an easy brand to make fakes of. But, since there are only a few, I may consider.

I do have a way to get 20% via a relative that works at a dept. store, but then word will get out around the family that I spent $400+ on a little fashion necklace and everyone will make a fuss out of it (even though they spend loads, too)! lol

MC, is there a Bloomingdales near you? The one here is having a sale that includes Roberto Coin, if I remember correctly.

. Seriously. We''ve heard they were going to jack up the prices to weed out their clientele - but that is crackers.

I saw this necklace on eBay too. But the "NO RETURN OR EXCHANGE: SALE IS FINAL" makes me nervous to buy from that seller.

ETA: It's at about $350 right now.

I just wanted to add that I have this necklace and it is lovely. I have several of the roberto coin tiny treasures necklaces (I also have the circle of life and the crown) and they are very high quality. Although the prices are a liittle high, the quality of diamonds and workmanship is far better on these pieces than on any of the other "novelty-type" necklaces I have seen in maul stores. The tiny melee are so bright and sparkly and the workmanship on the setting is wonderful as well.

Yeah, it''s overpriced...but it''s a really cute pendant and a name brand. I''d consider getting it from a department store rather than on ebay if the price difference is only about $100 and the ebay vendor has a no-return policy. You''ll feel better about the purchase and $100 isn''t much in the end. I''d check out sales at various department stores and buy one when they have a %10 off all jewelry sale or something similar.

Hi Gals,

Thanks for all your help. I''m happy to announce I purchased the palm tree necklace this morning. It is UNBELIEVABLY adorable!!! My husband didn''t seem all that impressed, though, lol, but I love it!

I''ll post pictures soon.

(oh, and FWIW, I bought it at Bailey, Banks, and Biddle after calling around and finding the price being different at various retailers. Full-price at Nordstrom was $60 more than what I paid!)

Aw congratulations! Don''t you just love getting something that you love!? Enjoy it!
