Ring size verification

Hi All.

I obtained this picture of my gf in a sneaky way. Can you tell me what you think the ring size is? The ruler is in centimetres. I measured on the ring finger, the knuckle part (blue line) to be about 15 mm and the ring part (red line) to be about 13 mm. The rulers near the ring finger are simply cut out from the main ruler at the index finger, so perhaps not completely accurate.

I'm thinking of going with size 4 just to be safe. What do you think? 3.5 ring size instead? Maybe even 3?

I think you are not going to get a three dimensional measurement from a two dimensional figure.

Yeah, will probably need to resize it later, but it would be good to at least get close. I realize the finger isn't a perfect circle, but pi*d should approximate, no?

No, math isn’t going to help you here. Get one of her existing rings and take it to a jeweler to have it measured on a mandrel. Or just ask her for her ring size.
