I will be getting a solitaire for ering and an eternity band, and my finger size is between 4 and 4.5. The sales lady recommend 4.5 for the eternity band because it''s hard to resize later and 4.5 is safer in case my weight changes. How aobut the ering? i don''t want the diamond to be twisting around so tighter might be better, so when you guys chosen your rings did you go with bigger size or smaller? thanks

That is good advice on the size of the eternity band...I can''t stand tight rings so I chose about 1/4 size larger that I was recommended for my wedding set. Because I have fingers that taper (as opposed to having larger knuckles) my ering does not twist around but it does wiggle a little by itself. With both the ering and wband on the same finger though there is no wigling going on. If you will wear both rings together more often than not, I would personally go with a larger size. Most ppl wear a bit larger size in a wide band than in a narrow band, and wearing both rings together is similar to wearing a wider band.

i am trying to decide the same thing..... great question! deciding on the right size is much harder than i thought. i like rings a little loose too, so LIB''s advice sounds proudent. thanks for the real life experience!

I''m looking to do the same except with a 3/4 eternity band. We recently ordered my ering and they said my finger is a size 3.5 but I''m having them make the ring a 3.75. I didn''t want it to be too tight.

Now I''m wondering what size the wband should be. I heard that if you wear two rings together then the ring on the bottom should be a little bigger. Anyone else heard that before?

I wear a size 4.5 but I got both rings (a solitaire and an eternity band) sized to 4.75 and am SO glad I did. I hate tight rings. These are almost never super loose, even at the larger size. They''re just right--not tight but never loose enough that I''d worry about losing them. I''d say if you don''t like your rings tight, get a quarter to a half size larger. Just make sure that when your fingers are at their smallest (ie in cold weather), you won''t lose them.

I hate tight rings, so even though I measure at a 5.75, I got 6''s. BUT I also have a tiny space in my ering (called 3/4 eternity instead of full even though the space on mine is pretty small) which is otherwise an eternity so that it can be sized later. Just a thought...

Did you get the wedding band with a spacing area at the back as well Neatfreak?

I''m not sure if you were asking me or not, but no, I didn''t get a spacing bar. Mine is full. I was going to add that if you do get 1/2 or 3/4 eternity, you need to be careful not to get one too big because they do spin.
