So, I got the ring the other day and it looks great! However, I''m a little skeptical on the size. My girlfriend was measured at a jewelry store a month back or so and was a size 4.5. So, I trusted it and the jeweler I got the ring from said that we should just go with a 4.5 if that is what she was measured as opposed to going a little bigger just in case.

I recently took one of her rings that she wears on her ring finger and it goes a little further down my pinky (won''t fit all the way of course) than the actual engagement ring. So, it appears that the engagement ring is slightly smaller than the ring she wears. Should I be concerned that it won''t fit? Neither ring will go past my second knuckle but the non-engagement ring that she wears comes closer to my knuckle than the actual engagement ring.

Any thoughts? Just starting to get paranoid and hope it will be able to slide on the day I propose.

Thanks in advance!!!

No way to really know. Are they different widths by chance?

They look like the same widths but the non-engagement ring seems to be a bit more oval as opposed to circular.

Should I just trust that the jeweler at Macy''s measured her right at the 4.5 and it should fit? I''m not sure if the difference is negligible or not.

Unfortunately there are lots of sizing bands that are not all quite the same, so there is no way to know for sure until she tries it on. But they are likely close in size.

Ditto. I''d wait and resize only if needed, definitely not now.

Round and oval bands will fit different; it is probably pretty close since they measured her ring finger before.

It could also be that the non engagement ring is slightly bigger than her measured size (not her real size, for whatever reason). I'd also recommend waiting.
