Hey,
I''ve been looking at shipping options to send my ring back to Whiteflash (to get a horseshoe sizer put in) from here in Canada but have had no luck so far. None of the big courier services (Fedex, UPS) will touch it and only have a maximum $500 of insurance coverage anyways for Canada-US packages. I had talked with Purolator (a Canadian-based courier) and originally had gotten a quote of about $250, but apparently they didn''t know I was sending jewelry because I just called for a new quote (I wanted more coverage) and they say it''s illegal to send jewelry to the US with a courier!!
I''m sure there are Canadians here who''ve had to send things back to vendors in the US. How did you go about it?
The only thing I can think of is taking it to a local jewelry store and paying them to ship it for me (apparently it''s legal to send it from store to store across the border?!?).
Please help
