hey!

Fortunately or unfortunately, that 0.82 was reserved before i could get in. the 0.72 reserved is now me and i'm about to get the payment details so i can transfer!

i was still trying to decide which one and had thought the reserved was me, but looking into it closer, the 0.82 had a massive inclusion right in the middle which can be seen quite clearly from the pictures on WF.

Liza from WF confirmed it: "there are a few inclusions visible in the image, one in the center, but the diamond is clean from 8-10" and "face up. Yes, the .72ct is totally eye clean, even if you look closely. The other diamond was not as clean as this one from up close."

so i guess its a blessing in disguise someone got in before me for the 0.82!

but should be all settled i think but i won't be able to see it physically until december! =(

Hooray!!! :appl: :appl:

I think you made the right decision j450n. The size diff was tough to see, but the $800 price difference was not.

Are you going Legato Sleek with micropave?

You're going to keep us all hanging until December?? ;(

hi there
haha
yes..ill have to wait till december before i can see the ring myself!

setting will be in the legato sleek line pave:
http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/diamond-settings/legato-sleek-line-pave-diamond-engagement-ring-422.htm

i do like the 0.72 better but can't help but feel that i could have got a better one as i'm under budget!
works out to be $4121 but i had a budget of around $4700 total.

now the hard part is to decide how to do it! any ideas for hawaii?
hehe
Well, don't forget about the wedding band - they can be a small fortune too! Not to rush things..... :naughty:

well from a size and light performance "type" standpoint you could line 'em up and you wouldn't see a mite of difference.

From a price perspective obviously the heavier/higher colour/higher clarity stones are more expensive..

depends on what you want. No reason an SI1 shouldn't be eyeclean to normal specifications (clean faceup w/ 20/20 vision from 8-10" in most lighting types), and wihtout direct comparison you're not going to see that colour difference in this size range, so.. it's in your court!

haha geez yssie! thats not much help!
grr! only kidding

i know its a hard choice, but im leaning towards the d vs2 as thats in the 'better' ranges and the price diff ain't that much. think it will rest better with me knowing its not as 'flawed'

ill be getting the band as well, and the exchange rates are looking mighty awesome. im hoping the feds announce they will be printin more money tonight!

Thanks again!

This is more of a mind-clean issue, so would you be more comfortable knowing you have a D VS2 or knowing you have an E SI1 (that looks pretty much identical to the naked eye). If you are going to upgrade I would go bigger http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2517139.htm but you really have to set your own personal preferences. Really any of the ones you are considering will be beautiful

hi slg47

thanks for your response. had a look at that, but its pretty 'dirty' as such. the diamonds i want can be SI1 but i would want them to be eye clean.
thanks for your response though! Ive decided i'll be changing it to the D VS1 to keep my mind happy!
