Please vote for which stone you like best. I think I know which one I am leaning towards but I’m curious what you all think.
The bubblegum pink spinel is Tanzanian with a Portuguese cut and is very glittery. It is also silky and opalescent in bright sunlight. It shifts somewhat too but is more consistently a soft pink. It does have excellent sparkle. The only downside is it shows a fisheye when bright light hits it head on. Not a huge problem.
The (very) shifty lilac/lavender/pink spinel is very pale lilac pink but it turns into a darker lavender in sunlight. It is cut as an OEC so it is very fiery and diamond-like in bright light. It can look a bit grey in dim light but it is cut really well and the pale pinkish color looks very sparkly.
The ring has a tourmaline with some wear so I purchased it intending to replace it with one of these stones.
Time to vote!
