Will the resize be possible? The ring is a classic 4 prong solitaire.

Depends. You need to ask a jeweler who can look at the piece, to know for sure. Most likely IMO, you could have it sized that much but it won't be perfectly round when it's done, it'll be oval shaped. It's also possible it couldn't be done, if the solitaire is particularly thick.

A good benchperson shouldn't have any problems with that setting. I had to size a 7 to a 3.5 before, and it was fine.

Ditto. Classic solitaires are the easiest rings to resize, therefore you shouldn't have any issues!

with a classic solitaire setting- no stones in the setting- it shouldn't be a problem for a GOOD jeweler/bench person.

I agree that it shouldn't be a problem at all to resize that. I've had simple settings go down 5 whole sizes w/o any issues at all.

if you make the purchase- dont' forget to give us pics! don't leave us hanging!

Will do! ;)
