resize a ring with a ring inside

hi
i fergot my password, so i opened aonther acount
2 weeks before i opened a topic about a resize a ring from 9.5 to 5.5
i went today to a known jewelry store in my town
but the jeweler told me its not possible so he made the only solution he gave me is to resize the ring from 9.5 to 7.5
and to buy an engagement ring witout nothing, to resize it to 5.5 and to weld the 14k gold ring inside so it can se ony with you look inside
he said he done it before and its a lot of work, and i will not see the defrents, in cost me like 450$ in my country money....
1.someone have done it before an can show me how it will been looked?
2.what do you think about this solotion? he said it could not been small like my finger size so he try to sell me maybe other ring and to embed the diamonds inside but the rings wasent my type of style

That does not sound like a good solution to me. The ring may stay on your finger , but the outside perimeter will remain much too large for you.
