Those are completely gorgeous!
Gorgeous!!!
I wouldn’t want them to be round..I think it could wind up looking like a cushion rounding over the points. I think the inspiration photo has larger princess diamonds.Gorgeous! I also wonder what a halo would look like that was a tad rounded.... just to soften those edges a bit. ?
I want them all!
I’ve been looking at squarish cushions too.. I agree a colored stone would look the best. I’m trying to think through if I would wear a colored stone as much as earrings.I'd go for a colored stone. You can do a EC, another princess, a squarish cushion or an asscher. You can get away with different shapes with a colored stone more than a diamond.
Gorgeous @mrs_b! I did look at some online that had the docked corners. I like them too. I have a pair of very expensive earring jackets I bought that I never wear. I also thought of having princess shaped jackets made for them..but decided against that because I don’t wear the ones for my MRB studs. I think having the halo permanently attached would be better. I’m even thinking of having a simple drop..no halo..squared..not kite dangled..They would be delicate and sweet. I’m just open to everything at this point.@Mamabean -
This is what I did with my princess cut studs - very close to yours in size (1.05ctw I think?)
They were very substantial on the ear and looked very 'Chanel' to me. I used to wear them with a Chanel jacket I owned and the combo was felicitous.
This was a much more obvious look than just plain diamonds - I really liked it and it was a bit more age appropriate - in that it was more substantial and not as delicate. I loved this look and it suited me. I think I was in my late 40's (10 years ago) when I was wearing these.
ETA The docked corners were much more forgiving than plain squares in keeping the earrings looking like they were properly 'lined up'.
Thank you @bling_dream19..I cant wait to see what you've decided on mamabean! Whatever it is will be gorgeous on you!
I’m leaning that way too. The inspiration photo has a larger central diamond...Mine are much smaller so think the smaller melees will be more proportional.I like the smaller melee
I agree, the smaller melee CAD looks more like the inspiration earrings. I bet these will be very versatile, looking equally great dressed up or down!I’m leaning that way too. Thank you @BMI I told David I’m pretty sure I want the smaller melee but I asked for a plastic model to be sure. I don’t want them to be so small I don’t see it. He has done quite a bit for me and didn’t need a plastic model except for my avatar ring. This has me a little uncertain.I agree, the smaller melee CAD looks more like the inspiration earrings. Thanks @PreRaphaelite! I have jackets I don’t wear for my smaller round studs because they don’t fit inside the jackets. David is also going to reset them with a thin bezel...I hope they’ll fit better then without the prongs. That’s why I didn’t do jackets for the princess diamonds. They never seem to seat right. They’ll be amazing and you’ll get a lot of wear out of them!
