Hi
I am wondering if I should reset my eternity ring to s bezel with millegrain. I saw one at Tiffany's and it was to die for.
One just had 3 stones but gave me the idea of what it looked like. The millegrain was so fine. Beautiful. The other was an eternity, but alternating stone sizes. What do you giys think i should do? Keeping in mind thag the stones in mine are very expensive so i want to love it!
I am bored of the traditional eternity.
Edit: each stone is .23 cts
Oh and it would not be alternating stones, that is just to get an idea of millegrain and eternity.

Do you have stones of different sizes to use? Even if you reset, the cost of metal and labour is high so you might be surprised by the cost even when supplying your own stones.

If you are used to an eternity ring, will you be bothered when the ring spins and the stones are no longer facing up?

Abby can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think she's referring to the micropave...I believe she has an eternity with .23 stones or somewhere around there...

I think a bezel eternity would look very pretty - and if you are tired of your current ring and really like the look of the bezel set then I think it's worth looking into!

Oh no not my SK ring! Sorry i forgot to post details.
Each stone is .23 cts

Abby-

Some of the posters here may know your jewelry backwards and forwards, but I do not. Would you post a picture of your eternity band as it is now and then post pictures of, or explain in words, exactly what you would like your new band to look like (while keeping its stones)?

The shared prong eternity in this pic....
I am considering changing it to a bezel set all the way around with millegrain. The pics on top were just yo show the kind of bezel i like.

I think that would make a beautiful band, Abby! I think it will result in a few stones left over because of the width of the bezel settings. I think I recall your stones as very high color and clarity. I would have someone like Steven Kirsch make this setting.

I think it would be stunning!!!

i just started a thread about turning my 5 stone into a bezel, so i of course FULLY support this as a bezel! its so unique and interesting without being to out there. you would prbably have a few extras, though i wonder if you could avoid that by doing a slight siz-zag pattern.

Oh i am ok with having a few extra ;)
Or i may just make it larger to wear on right hand middle finger.

Oh, no, Abby! Don't do it!!! That absolutely the loveliest ring on earth! I am having some hoop earrings made up now that remind me a bit of that gorgeous ring. Do not dismantle it! If you need a new ring at some point, buy one. Never, never, take that apart!!!!

Hugs,

I vote for having a couple left over! I think eternities look best on the ring fingers! (Of course, I realize you aren't making it for me! ;)) )
