I have a ring with two bullet baguettes F/G VS quality with a center round EGL diamond F VS1 with faint blue flourescence. It''s been appraised at 12000....what do you think about possible retail value when I want to upgrade to a larger center stone?

I think your best bet would be to take it to three jewelers and see what they say. Markets vary by region. Good luck!

Good advice, but I would recommend three independent appraisers instead (or maybe one good one).

Do you know which EGL lab did the report? Was it a North American lab, or European, or Middle Eastern?

Great advice Bookworm! I would do that and take it back to the jeweler who I bought it from; you might also try Ebay or Diamondbistro, but I would only do that after trying the suggestions already posted.
