Hi all,

Well I think I might win the prize for most changes in a stone. I''ve flip-flopped all over the place and hopefully am finally settling on this diamond.

It''s a virtual that WF have got in for me, it''s 2.14 E VS1 with strong blue fluorescence (hence my thread on GIA grading SB stones).

I''m going to post the pic, the IS and the Sarin and pleeeease, if you see anything of interest, let me know. Cos of the SB fluor I won''t be able to upgrade it with WF, but if it looks as good as I hope it will, I don''t want to. I don''t want to go any bigger, I want high color and good clarity, so I''m really hoping this is the one.

I have to commend Katie at WF for putting up with me over the last almost year (yikes!) and my constant changes of heart.

First the IS:

Now the pic:

And the Sarin:

I can''t wait to see pictures, make sure you take alot to try to show of the SB fluo!

WHFSR, I am so freaking anxious right now!!! I really want this to be the end of my searching, I''ve never been 100% happy with my stones...

So you think it looks good? I think it does... *biting nails*

Not that I'm any expert or anything, but wow! I think it's going to be awesome!

I think I would like a SBF stone myself, and that size is right at my upper limit of desire too.

Wow, you''ve been looking for over a year?

That stone looks gorgeous! Hope it''s the one for you.

Thanks Lyra, I''ve never seen a SB myself but from everything I have read (and believe me I''ve been searching exhaustively!) I think I will like it. I''ve got a 2.32 G SI1 at the moment and it''s actually a little, dare I say it, large? I think I''ve had DGS, diamond growth syndrome, LOL!

It looks really beautiful! But to be totally honest, the lack of trade-in ability would make me a bit nervous. I just don''t trust myself to be sure I''d want the same thing 10 years from now. Although, 2 carats and E VS1 would be hard to improve on!

Thanks MC, I got my first stone from WF last year. I''ve changed it about, um... 5 times *blush* since then.

I know DS, I am a bit nervous about that too! I guess I will get it and see if I''m over the top in love with it. I really think that going forward if I do anything else there are other rings I would like rather than keeping on upgrading this stone. Or there''s always a 3-stone! I don''t want to go bigger and I think the color and clarity here are my sweet spot. Still, this is from someone that''s changed her stone more than a couple of times!

Well, the good thing is that you have tested your size limit and know you don''t want to go over 2 cts. So that is good. And E VS1 will look white and perfect, so there is really nothing to upgrade there. I take it that they have verified the SBF has no negative effect. So really, I think it''s a pretty good risk to take.

Thanks DS I''m thinking that way too!

from other thread:
worried about the color?
Have Brian, Bob or John grade it for you under no UV lighting.

Wow, that is one purrrrrty stone.

And I like your thinking, stop at 2 ct. and get other stuff. You don''t want to hurt those 3 stone and fancy ring designs, DO YOU?
