Registry Woes: Help me find my formal china pattern! I already picked my everyday stuff!

Hi all!

I finally found my everyday china that I loved (and FI does too - bonus!).....Here''s the thing, I would like to find something for my formal china that coordinates nicely with my everyday stuff for those times that we are entertaining a larger crowd & we have to use both sets (we both have huge families).

What do you suggest for our formal china?
Did you try to coordinate your formal & everyday stuff?

I''m not expecting a perfect match, but I don''t want anything that clashes too horribley.

It looks even more formal in gold

I love this in the blue and the white-color

So there''s a few ideas, but what kind of pattern do you like? Floral or plain or ..? It can coordinate if you''d like, but yours will definitely be easy to coordinate with so that''s a plus!

Something else to consider is whether or not a pattern is one that will be around for the long haul, or if it is likely to be discontinued. I''d just ask at the store if you are talking to an experienced china sales associate.

When we went looking, our sales associate steered us away from some of the trendier lines for the main set however we added in some trendy-ish accent plates.

Great tip October! Which desiigner/patterens, etc would you classify as trendy? I definitely want something that i would be able to buy down the road if something breaks.

Old Country Roses - not as simple, been around a long time and isn''t going anywhere
