Hello PSers!

I am new to PS and this is my first post. I am hoping a few of you will be able to help me. My fiance and I are getting married this December. I am considering a simple channel-set eternity band with rounds in white gold as a wedding ring. I have read/seen tons of rave reviews for Facets/Signed Pieces, but my fiance is still reluctant to order something from so far away. I absolutely respect his decision and I am trying to help him find a local jeweler who can make or who sells quality eternity bands similar to FC.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much in advance

Hi. I''m not familiar with that area but maybe San Diego Lady knows.

I''m live in SD and I ended up going up to LA becasue I coudn''t find any PS quality here in SD.

Ditto on Maytal Hannah - I''ve heard great things, up in LA, I think.

In LA, I went to SingleStone and 23rd Street Jewelers - both have amazing work, and 23rd St has a Manhattan Beach location, so not *as* far.

I have always like Mulloy''s in Carlsbad. They have a nice selection of designers and their prices are very good. However, you will pay sales tax since your in CA.
On a big purchase that can amount to quite a bit. For that reason I would also check out pearlmans. They often have sample rings they can send you to look at
or try on. I think their are also some great jewels in La Jolla. I also like Fredric Rubel but they are pricey. They carry nice designers but you pay top dollar. Mulloys
carries some of the same for much less.

I also have a facets band which I love, and it was a great price.

Ditto on avoiding the Old Town guys.

Have had two very enjoyable, productive meetings in the last week:
1) Serengeti (Downtown--in the SD Jewelry Exchange)
2) Henderson''s (Carlsbad)

Both good, for different reasons. Both are family businesses, and both were recommended to us by close friends or family. The former is a 2-generation shop and we met with the son, probably 30something. Sarin, CADS, gadgets, etc....Fun for a PSer. The latter is more old school, but still lovely. Doesn''t use CADS--carves the wax. Both super amenable and excited about a customer who throws around words like culet and pavilion. (I''ve visited others who just take this as an excuse to condescend and make sure I know I know nothing. Buh-bye!)

p.s. We''re still waiting on a quote from the second guy, but FYI the first one gave us a setting quote that definitely rivaled what we''ve seen online. We''re still getting quotes from WF and some others, but we were FLOORED by how reasonable and competitive the quote was.

Thank you all so much for the recommendations. I will certainly take the time to look into all of them!
