Recommend a custom jeweler/designer for me....

since cost is a huge consideration, and what i know of leon from this forun, he might not be tha way to go... is there another place like Quest jewelers in NY with similar policy like free replacement of the melee stones and free ring resizing.

I would recommend Mark T at engagementringsdirect too. He has excellent benchmen, is very customer service oriented and is in NY. I would also suggest getting quotes from WF if it''s one of their rings you''d really like modified. I would think it''s something they could fairly easily do and might put you at a better pricepoint than trying to go custom with someone who will have to make the whole ring from scratch.

Sorry to hijack, but I read in an earlier post on this thread that Mark from ERD outsources his work. Any idea how long it takes or what ERD''s responsibility is for the quality/workmanship?

It usually takes 3-4 weeks and he will absolutely take responsibility for the work that is done. The people he sends his work out to do a fantastic job IMO. They made my ring and it is perfect.

If you do a search there are a ton of ERD custom rings on PS. Lots of eye candy!

I would email or better yet call them. If you do a search for ERD some gorgeous rings come up!!!

no, i have not found one yet. I have called countless number of people.

Partly it is my fault. I have changed my design b/c i gave my girlfriend a sneek peek at the ring secretly to see if she would like it. She didnt (she didnt know i modified it ). that was good and bad


i got her to point out what she likes and she went straight to a Tacori crescent...GULP!!! soo i have to find something very similar yet modified to make it my own. I have found a place that carries the design that is halfway around.

i got my quote from quest and not good.. its double the amount i can spend... i tried wf but they have higher prices. my next best option is from these jeweler exchanges. they have the exact ring but im not totally impressed with their quality. they also only have the g/h common cut stones. not impressive.

im lost...
