I'm planning on a New Years day proposal. It's the Vatche double prong X-prong in WG. The stone is a .79 D SI2 from Whiteflash. I originally fell in love with this ring, especially with the heart shaped prongs and ordered the same setting from WF. Apparently this setting actually comes with the double claw prongs and not the heart shaped prongs. When I saw the first set of pictures with the double claw prongs, I asked about the heart shaped prongs. They then sent it back out to the jeweler and had him redo it with the hearts. It was done in a day, no less! Well, here is the end result:

The heart prongs are delicate and don''t overwhelm the stone--well done!

The ring is tiny, no ? Otherwise, that doesn''t look 80 points havy

it''s beautiful!!! love the heart prongs!

Thanks everyone! Hopefully she''ll be just as pleased with it. The ring is a size 4. I''m hoping that, along with the tapered shank help the diamond to pop a little bit.

The ring looks great. I''m glad my fiancee''s ring was an inspiration for you. Good luck with the proposal.

It''s beautiful! I love the way the whole ring tapers up to the center stone. And the heart prongs are so pretty!

The heart shape prongs look great with the plain band; they really stand out. The ring is lovely.

Gorgeous!!! I love the X-prong, and the heart prongs are so sweet!! Your diamond will look humongous on your future fiancee''s tiny hands! Congratulations and good luck!!!

It''s just beautiful. I love heart prongs, too.

I am looking at almost the exact ring, also in a size 4. I was just wondering how wide the band is on this ring? I was thinking of going with about 4mm. The diamond looks great in your ring but my girlfriend thinks up to 1.5 ct will still look ok on her hand. I don''t mind getting the bigger stone but I don''t want it to look too big on her little finger. Think 1.5 or even 1.25 would be too big in this setting?

Fabulous! A D! That is amazing!

What a lovely classic ring. The heart prongs are romantic detail.

Hi, Crasher:

I just wanted to let you know that this thread is nearly 9 months old, and it doesn''t look like the gentleman who purchased this ring has posted here since his proposal last year. It''s unlikely you''ll get a response from him.

Just didn''t want you to feel snubbed when you didn''t get a response.

My wife''s ring was the inspiration for his ring. The band on it is slightly bigger than 3mm.

She wears a 3mm comfort fit wedding band with it. A 4mm wedding band would''ve also worked with it.

congratulations!! it turned out great!!

and the combination of that stone size with ur future fiance''s tiny fingers will be amazing! that ring will just shine!
