I have a rectangular radiant that''s currently already set, but I''m not very happy with my setting (I''ve had it for two years now). My center stone is from Whiteflash, and I''d love to have a setting either already made or created by them. It''s really tough to find a setting that is made for rectangular shapes! My current setting is from Robbins Bros. (stupid, as I was overcharged), and while I love parts of it, I wish parts were different.

Info:
.70 ct. rectangular radiant
4.61 mm wide
5.74 mm long (l/w ratio 1.25)
3.18 mm depth
2.42 mm pavilion
.58 mm crown height
2.98 mm table
.19 mm girdle

With the attached picture (from the email WF sent me years ago), the items I liked: the side diamonds, the way the ring rose in a cathedral type, the width of the setting and that''s basically it.

I''d love split prongs, a more open setting (you can''t really see the stone so well in the current setting)- so you can see a little bit more of the stone, white gold, and the same width of the band (2mm, I could also see having a smooth side to the ring as well.

Can anyone suggest anything, or have an opinion of what they think would look good? Even if what you like isn''t in my "ideas", feel free to post anything!! At this point I''m ready for a change.

Thanks skippy!! I should have looked there- it is near impossible to find settings made for rectangular cuts.

What I don''t like about my setting? Not a fan of the peg head, I think I''d like a setting that is a little more flowy? :)

Hey Amber!

What about a 2mm fishtail pave setting (like LynnB's beauty!) with split prongs?

Here's a link to pictures of her setting:

Thanks Ebree!! That does sound like a good idea!!

This is the most similar to what I like. Perhaps I can have WF make a modified version for me, perhaps with diamonds only on the basket and more claw-like split prongs, or with non-pave diamonds on the shank (meaning prong-set), with more claw-like split prongs. I suppose a higher head could be useful, as well.

Whoops

Try this again:

This is the side, I definitely like it, but would want some big changes.
