So...long story short...got the ring, loved the ring. Got ring sized, got ring back severely damaged. Been back and forth with local jeweler since then. He attempted repair and it looks much better but it's certainly no longer new. I did get my sizing costs and half the value of the ring back though. The damaged area is limited to two of the marquise shapes on the bottom next to the spacing bar so I'm trying to add enough rings to make it tight enough that it won't spin!

I am sorry for the disappointing experience in resizing the ring. It looks pretty on your hand though.

Thanks ladies. I'm pretty happy overall. I'm finding myself obsessing and starring at the two damaged sections less and less. And as my husband told me it's about what the ring symbolizes, which is my son.
