Greetings forum,
I found this resource quite a while back, but am now finally in serious purchase mode

I was hoping to gather some thoughts on the attached comparison from JA. I''m looking for a rectangular radiant, ~0.75 ct, etc, etc.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated as I continue my search!!!

It''s tough to say without photos...maybe you can ask your JA rep to compare if they have them on site?

Attaching images from JA's site... here is 1065367

and finally, 1140024...

Sorry for the large size, but I guess that''s better!

The 1st, 2nd and the 5th photos made my shortlist.

Thank you both for your opinions, and thanks for the Idealscope link! I came across one more to post before ordering the Idealscopes... I dropped down to SI1 (as I''ve heard radiants are capable of hiding inclusions better than some cuts), and came up with this... thoughts?

Let''s scale these down a bit.

I like the first and the fifth, the fifth has a table which is greater than the depth but it looks like a lovely diamond, ask if you can get Idealscope images for the ones you like best, JA will do up to 3.
I would agree, 5 looks the best in the pics, but I''d want an IS on it.

Thanks for the re-sizing, Ellen!

So it seems #5 is a lock to get the IS image... but I''ll still choose 2 of the others as well...

Much better El, thank you for the sizin''! I am not keen on the pic of the very last choice.

No problem!

If you still want two others as well, I''d pick 1 and 2 I think.

Welcomes Lore!

Sounds like #s 1, 2, and 5 then for the IS comparison...
@Lorelei- may I ask what makes you ''not keen'' on the last photo? I''m very thankful to have found this website, what a wonderful source of information and opinion!

Of course! My impressions ( which may not be that accurate from a photo) is that the diamond isn''t the best cut, it appears to be lacklustre. I can''t tell if it is tilted or not but it looks as if the physical symmetry might be off a bit too.

Ahh I see... well yes, it could be the photo, but I guess we can''t be certain...

I will request the IS of 1,2,5 and come back with the results!

Also, the ring-wearer-to-be has an active job-- she is an athletic trainer, and thus working with her hands / washing them quite a bit during the day. For the band, I am looking at platinum, and something ~2.5 to 3.0 mm. My rep. at JA informed me that radiants cannot be set with 6 prongs, so if 4 prong is my only option-- is there any particular style of 4 prong that is more secure than others???

I think it may also be carrying a good bit of face up size in that girdle also. (not a good thing)

That sounds like a plan!

While I''m waiting for the IS images to come back on the stones, does anyone have any recommendations on this?

Are you wanting to get a setting from JA in particular, or just where ever you find the one you like? Are you wanting any melee, or just plain? Can you give us an idea of what she likes? Budget?

There are tons of well made 4 prong settings, so we need to narrow it down a bit!

My vote is for the 5th - but perhaps that''s because the first photos look out of focus. If they are not, the cut looks most precise on 5. Good luck! Can''t wait to see the reflector images - https://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/images/smilies/36.gif
