Haha, well I think she''d prefer either-- the end result is the same after all!

Sunrise-- doubtful... she''s not much of a morning person heh

The reason I keep coming back to the new house is just the symbolism that comes with it-- new chapter in life, etc. etc... plus we were joking that we were sort of doing things in the ''improper order''...

We''ll see how quick the turn around is with everything, and how well I can contain myself from popping the question early haha!

Hahaha, so very true! Well, I have officially placed the order... waiting to see whether it can be expedited, otherwise it may not arrive until 7/7 (JA apparently is closed next week?). Hopefully they can speed it up, so the beach can still be a possibility if I want...

I hope they can get it done, and congrats!!

Latest update:

Over the weekend, it appeared that my package would ship 6/29. Checked in with JA yesterday, said they would update later in the day... got an email that it is now scheduled to ship tomorrow, 7/1.

The window is getting tighter for having it available for the beach! *gulp*

Is it feasible to have the appraisal and the setting both done in one visit? The appraiser has setting services on-site...

Yes it is. Just check with whoever sets the stone if they will assume liability in the rare chance it gets damaged whilst setting, this is unusual but best to check.

Good to know... hopefully I can get in next week to get it taken care of. The appraisal/setting will be taking place with OldMiner, I will be sure to ask what their policies are on the liability for setting the stone...

Thats right - you will be dealing with OldMiner, then you will be in EXCELLENT hands with David!!!

Indeed... I am looking forward to dealing with him! Location certainly pays off in this case!

Btw I wd love to see the 0.82ct IRL, though the IS image isn''t typically the ''brightest''. Maybe I''m not so hung up on brightness per se...but the contrast between bright and dark areas suggest a beautiful pattern. But enough with my ruminations. I''m certain you picked an excellent looking radiant. So there are some exciting times ahead, my friend!

Just got back from my visit with Dave-- everything went well! I''m appraised, set, and ready for delivery (at my time of choosing, of course!) I couldn''t be happier. It''s WONDERFUL... I will have some photos later this evening. It''s been said a million times over on here, but I can''t stress enough how much of a pleasure it was to work with Dave.

I''m not sure about the 0.82ct IRL, I trusted the gemologists'' judgment, and I''m not disappointed!

Anywho,

for now... today also happens to be my bday, so I''m heading out to celebrate a bit, but pics will come later, I promise!

Sadly, my camera fails miserably at macro shots

Guess that''s on my to-buy list haha... here is the best shot I could muster out of many takes this evening...

Thanks-- and for your help! You advisers know your stuff

Yes, Dave does rock. After his appraisal (in which he detailed what he was doing, allowing for questions at any point), he gave me a mini-tour of their operation, and sat and chatted with me while the stone was being set... quite nice of him and very interesting.

You are very kind, thank you! I have been doing this a very long time and it pleases me greatly when new posters say we are helpful!
