You had a budget of $1200????

I''m about to pull the trigger on an upgrade setting and want to make sure I''m a 100% certain this is THE ONE.

So, please post some pics of what setting YOU would choose if you had up to $1200 (white gold). For reference, my diamond is a 0.83 carat round ACA in a generic 6-prong setting.

Thanks!

Do you want a solitaire or diamond accents?

Thanks ebree! Anything goes, my taste has gone from the Vatch x-prong to a Maytal Hannah halo in the past few months...

To cover the bases, this is what I'd choose in each category:

Solitaire:

Vatche Royal X-Prong with the taper like the Royal Crown, 18k with plat head.

Pave:

Ritani Endless Love without the halo a la Neatfreak's gorgeous setting, in 18k WG (if Ritani is available in WG, I'm not sure).

ETA: Looks like the Ritani would be out of budget, but I'd have something similar custom made!

Three stone:

Contour Trellis Setting, pear sidestones with diamonds instead of sapphires, probably .20ct or so (maybe .15ct?) on each side for a .83 ct center.

I don''t know if I''m allowed to link to it, but over on the Diamond Talk message boards, there''s a platinum Ritani without the halo for sale and I bet you could offer $1200. It fits a 6.5mm stone, but it might be able to fit a 6mm stone as well. That''s the route I''d go.

ooooh, I''d buy the legato micropave: http://whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/The--Legato--with-Micro-Pave_1071.htm
Someone here has this exact setting with a .8 round by the way (cinnonmon I think???)

The divisi is really pretty too: http://whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/The--Divisi--by-WF_1068.htm

It would be really pretty to make this setting with smaller sidestones to get it under $1200: http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=200&rn=740&action=show_detail

I love this bezel setting too and it will make your stone look larger: http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=200&rn=1312&action=show_detail

The setting and matching band together are almost in your budget: http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=200&rn=809&action=show_detail

I love this plain solitaire too! :http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=200&rn=1146&action=show_detail

There are some really pretty halos and art deco styles at Knox jewellers that are in your price range.
I''m sorry, I don''t know how to link to html!

Wow, thanks everyone!

I really like the "silk" from knox too kcoursolle...the setting that I''m considering purchasing is a bit antiquey, I wonder if an antique looking band would go with that solitaire, I would love to be under budget and able to afford a band too!

I have always wanted baguettes or some different shape as sidestones (maybe a mix of baguette and round). I LOVE surfgirls ring, I just haven''t been able to find a setting with half-moons in that $$ range.

Any others?

Can anyone photoshop an antique band next to this ring??? Pretty please
