Hello. I am new.

I would like to buy a package of 16 E or F color AGS0 ideal cut diamonds of 4.0 - 4.2mm in diameter. Is there a more efficient way to go about this other than just locating individual stones on the search engine and buying them individually? Thank you for any insight.

First off you are going to have a heck of a time finding papered stones in this size as it is unusual to do so because of the cost of the paper.

Second off, the easiest way is to contact someone that you like that deals in these goods and have them assemble the package for you.

Many of the vendors here deal in AGS 0 cut diamonds and have sources for this material. If you go looking for these on the lists and on ebay you are going to get a mixed bag of stones, many of which will NOT be what you are wanting or paying for, although it should be cheaper than working with a vendor. Of cousres, if you work with a pricescope vendor they will be what you are paying for or you can return them.

I'm unsure what you mean by a 'package' of stones. I assume you mean a lot of a certain number. Most vendors will not get diamonds under .30 certified. And .30 are slighly larger than you want at around 4.3-4.5 mm.

I would work with a vendor that specializes in AGS0 stones and see what you can work out. The two vendor that come to mind that specialize in this are Infinity Diamonds (High Performance Diamonds and Wink are dealers of Infinity and, having worked with them, are wonderful to work with) and Brian Gavin Diamonds.

I suggest talking directly with the vendors to see what you can work out with them.

I also would STRONGLY advise against ebay or even 'average' diamond vendors.

Thank you. I knew someone would know. They don't have to be papered per se, just want that quality. I will contact Wink or BGD. Thanks again.

I presume that thend objective of this plan is to manufacture a ring out of these stones, not just leave them in a bag in the drawer and that step is going to be the most difficult one. Most people who have the skills, tempramrament and equipment to do this are also in the business of selling this sort of small stones as well and I would seriously consider researching into who you want your craftsman to be and then ask them about supplying the components as well. It IS possible to do this on an ala carte basis but it rarely saves much money and it opens up the opportunity for a lot of fingerpointing between the vendors if something goes wrong.
