I think you`ll find Queensland is a territory rather than a city.

I am at a monthly 1/2 day meeting till mid afternoon, and will then go back to the Canterbury store. Who are you seeing?

Thanks Pyramid yes Rebecca is my contact person.
Garry I was planning to go at straight from the airport cos'' I nervous about carrying the stone. My sister is piecking me up and I guess we would get there to the Canterbury Store between 1 and 2. I of course would love to meet "Cutnut" in the flesh

I know you are kidding! :) I will have opportunity next year to do short term project in that hospital at least once a year. Maybe some of you nice Aussies will point me to some "must sees" places and "must drink" beers at that time? Thanks!!!

But they have Belgian beer in australia too

Oohh Kate you wont go wrong with Johnny - he is a sweetie!

(and yes so is Garry, but we all know that

Zhuzhu - I''m sure you''ll love QLD. Don''t listen to the oldies - they are just scared because that''s where oldies retire to and they are not looking forward to getting leathery skin from all that sun

Well yes Jade Johnny is a sweetie in fact her gave my niece a cubic zirconia to put in my ring holder and she was well chuffed. I also think he is going to make one fine setting for my my gorgeous diamond from GOG (I''ll fill you all in on this later).
Garry and his staff at Precious Metals were beyond helpful. I really felt we were all quickly on the same wave length and I could''nt be more happy that they are making my new EC and also my very blingy wedding band
9.gif
(Now I just have to gently ease DH into the absolute necessity of this purchase.)

Garry was the knowledgeable and suave gentleman we have all come to know here and his passion and enthuasism for his pieces was obvious
36.gif
. He was attentive and friendly and even showed us an absolute stunner of a ring that his team had just finished. A very OTT blue sapphire and pave stunner. My sister took some pics so hopefully I wil share the with you

You''ll pick it up quite easily...I''ve only been here a year and sometimes have to stop and think of what my old vocabulary used to sound like! I often get snickers from my friends and family on the phone because I''ve used some off the wall word they''ve never heard of before.

There''s a great dictionary of comparison words at http://www.aussieinamerica.com/language/dictionary.htm

And of course www.aussieslang.com (though there''s a lot of stuff on there you''d never likely hear).
