is your E-ring bigger/better quality the second time around?... :naughty:

Everything is!! :naughty:

I did not re-marry, however, my late partner decorated my house, and I used the money that I had saved towards a ring, designed it myself after agreeing the concept with him (a heart-shaped ruby in a halo) and had it made.

When the box arrived, I gave it to him first without seeing it myself, and he gave it to me after he had opened the box, and it was beautiful, still is.

I love that ring and it makes me happy every time I wear it, as it reminds me of our happy days together.

DK :))

Oh yeah, big time!

:)

Yes, mine's twice as big.

I hadn't found PS with my previous ring so this one is much, much better.

Previously:

Started with an non-certified sold as a 1ct, I-J, SI1. It had a huge black visible carbon spot so I doubt the SI1. Luckily it fell out of the setting and was replaced with insurance and upgraded with extra cash. The next one was GIA 1.01ct, E, SI1 H&A. It was a huge improvement over the first.

Now:

EGL, 1.65 ct, OEC, L, VS2. Although the color is much lower, I love it so much more. The size is perfect, and it's blingtastic.

Yes, a bigger ring and much better man. First stone was .78, #2 was 2.01 and now #3 (and final) 2.28.

Same ring and husband for 32+ years.

Both for me... Much better choice in a partner on my part... And the ring blows what I had before out of the water... We were also older which I think plays a tremendous role in a larger ring, but we both have children (1 for me) which equates to $$$$'s.

Congratulations! Will you ever consider upgrading either one? :naughty:

It feels kind of wrong to compare my present ring to my past ring. They are different in many ways. I loved my first one and was sad to sell it, but I love my present one even more. I will give you two reasons I'm far happier wearing the second: 1. it came from a person whose intentions in giving it were to make me, not himself, happy, and 2. it was paid for in cash and not financed like the first one. ;)) I can't bring myself to list a stats comparison, or even say if one was bigger or better than the other, sorry. ETA: not that I think others shouldn't post theirs! LOL

Considering my first one was a CZ, absolutely YES!

Mine second ring was a teeny bit bigger.. but first was an OECut.. happy second mariage! i'm lucky!

I have only been married once, but I can say my ring is better than the one my husband got his ex-wife. ;-)
