Purchasing Engagement ring, need advice to calm my mind!

Hello friends,

I've made it back.I had a brief vacation I went on and the funds should be ready to purchase the ering no later than July 1st, June 29 the earliest.

With that, I need the diamond by the 14th of July! I have my budget set and know what I want! When I ask for Aset images, how long does it typically take to receive those from WF, JA, and BGD? Should I start asking for these now so I can purchase by by the 1st? Does this give these vendors enough time to properly set my solitare diamond?

WF and BGD provide ASET images for their diamonds so you do not need to specially request these.

with JA I think it takes 3-4 days? I would start now, if you will be ready to purchase by the 29th. if you post your budget/specs we can help you find some candidates if youd like

I didn't see ASET for WF and BGD if they are in virtual selection?

Budget - 8000ish with band (just a plain 4 prong tiffany in platinum, BGD charges $1350 for the one I like)
Carat; 1.15-1.3
Color: G or better (would like colorless if possible)

Is that enough for specs?

Im afraid if people start posting diamonds, someone else will swoop them up but that's the chance I'll take!

yes for BGD and WF I would stick with their in-house stones especially if you are looking for a princess cut. You really can't tell anything about princes cuts by the numbers.

you could always put a diamond on hold for a few days?
BGD has a nice G princess that is 1.05. with the recent price increase I am not sure about getting a larger size if you go with a branded stone. what are your preferences on clarity?

My preference for clarity is VS2 and above.
I really would like to get as close to 1.25 as i can. It's what looks perfect on her finger.

I like the 1.17 from JA. Do I just email them to request the aset photo? Is there a 3rd from JA you'd recommend so I could get the max viewed from them at one time?

So I got 3 ASET back from JA. I had help with them over the phone and think I might have found the diamond. I wanted to post the ASET photo and get some thoughts.

Here is what their gemologist had to say about it.

Diamond 1330615 has a beautiful sparkle and will be your best option. It will look gorgeous in any setting and I believe you and your wife-to-be will be estatic when you see the diamond in person.



How does this all look? Should I continue my search? With the setting, it's right about at my budget. If there is something better out there please do let me know.
