Purchaasing Ideal Scope / which one?

I would like to purchase my own Ideal Scope. I see there are different options to choose from. Which one do you recommend I buy without spending alot? Do you recommend the $25 beginner scope? Thanks!

I can't do the iLivid install on my work computer. It won't let me. I'm going to see if I can get Karl to help you, he's our step cut expert and the one I learned everything from. And he's great with computers, which I am not (especially my work one).

I think that you will be fine with the beginner scope. Are you going to take a look at the 36/40.8?

About the scope: If you want it for professional reasons (if you are an appraiser or in the trade) buy the expert one and the light box. If you aren't in the trade, you can use a flashlight ap on your smart phone (if you have one) and a pair of tweezers with the beginners scope.

I knew it was something like that! I admire your dedication so much, it doesn't go unnoticed that you try to help each and every poster! Interesting about the flashlight app, I had no idea! New toy!!

I have the light box. But my flashlight ap lights up both my flash and my screen. The screen light is the one that works for the scopes (not the flash).

As for dedicated, lol. Usually I'm just bored and this is my recreation of choice. If I put all the energy I use here to work at the gym, at work, etc. I'd probably be skinny AND wealthy. But it's fun for me and I get a lot out of it. YOU have become a great, dedicated poster and helper too. I see your name in a post and think... no need to post there Christina's got it. I can't tell you how much I love that!!!!

Beginner scope is good. It isn't too expensive either. Worked well for me.
