PS-trusted eBay sellers & reviews? Sellers to watch out for?

I love to search ebay for jewelry deals, but I'm always torn about whether or not I can trust the seller or the quality/authenticity of his product... Does anyone know if there is a thread on PS specifically for this?

It would really be nice to have reviews/testimonials on said sellers, as well as photos if possible. (Ex: "SellerABC - not the greatest quality, but good for the money, quick shipping, easy returns, etc...) Of course, it would really help to know which sellers to stay away from!!

I'm not sure if this would violate forum rules to list the seller. If so, maybe we could just give a link to one of the seller's products (as to not actually name the seller) with a review??

I know on CS there is a thread about vendors that sell settings (mostly Chinese) and gemstones that are trustworthy. I think with diamonds it is harder. Best you can do is get a return policey and take the item to an appraiser that will verfiy everything.

I can answer in general terms who I would avoid in the diamond categories. There are a few on there with hundreds of pages of listings. They are easily identified by the fact that they only have 2 or 3 stock photos for all their listings. They pretty much just copy data bases and are obviously drop shippers. What you see and how they describe it, is not what you get.

I believe this is what you are looking for. It is pinned at the top of the CS board. If you scroll down a bit you will see the lists started for favorite vendors, including one on ebay.

I've not seen anything like this on PS but as mentioned above, there is one in CS that covers mostly settings and one or two eBay vendors (these vendors also sell outside of eBay, having a FB presence and / or their own website). For the most part, I think the vetting point for the vendors are their customer service, return policy and that many posters have purchased from the vendor before and found the item to be as represented.
