PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

So, yeah...I told T today that my MIL was coming over and she started smiling, jumping and screaming "ICE CREAM"! So she has found a power greater than juice. However she is kinda in trouble that T is becoming more vocal. I am annoyed. DH and I talked about HIM speaking with him mom to lay off the ice cream. I mean, it is fine once a week or so as a treat AFTER she eats a full meal but I know she is manipulative and what kid wouldn''t want ice cream for dinner? So I mentioned (passive aggressively I admit) to my MIL that she associates her with ice cream, isn''t that interesting. She just said "uh oh" and ignored me. DH gave me the stink eye. Whatever. I am annoyed.

Bobo, thanks. Friday will be here before I know it.

MrsS, I was frustrated but I am learning to channel negative emotions better. A year ago I would have cried. Haha. Love the Belle photos! You must be so proud. Hope you had a great weekend! Jake kisses sound so sweet!

puffy, we threw away like five cupcakes. Haha. Don''t worry. I pigged out on other this recently!

Q, lucky girl! Congrats!

Janine, I guess I should be grateful for the extra study time.

Jas12, T tests me daily as well. Sometimes I give in. Sometimes I don''t. It''s never fun. I think it is the age but then again T was NEVER an easy kid. You kinda seal the edges and then have to make some ventilation cuts. I think we made smiles and stiff to "work" with our idea. I guess you kinda are making hot pockets. When we made pumpkin shaped one last year (the original recipe) it said to use a 1" circle cookie cutter to cut out the meat and cheese. As long as the pie crust is larger I don''t think it matters what you use.

TGal, thanks girl. I am sure it will work out. I think the height can be off too.

Lili, she has her 2 year appointment on thursday (so I will let you know then) but she was in the 75% for height during her 18 month. She seems so much shorter than the other kids though so maybe her measurement was off. Plus 2T pants are long on her but the poor girl is all torso. Her shirts are usually short on her ala Dora.
2.gif
T will never tell us BEFORE she goes only sometimes after.

Jas12--
Haha, maybe the midwife is talkative :)
I saw a OBG and a midwife for my prenatal appt when I was carrying J.
The OB was always on time, but the midwife was always running late.
Turned out she was quite a friendly little chatterbox.
Our appts always go over even though we don''t have any questions for her ^.^

Haha, welcome to the testing arena.
She shed some crocodile tears too when she insisted on eating her dinner in the living room (which is carpeted).
She''d planked her body when we tried to put her in her high chair.
So DH just said "Ok, no dinner then" and proceed to take her meal away.
She cried and agreed to sit in her highchair and happily chomp away
20.gif

Tacori--
Haha, I agree about the height measurement being off.
J''s checkup indicates that she only grew .25 inch in 6 months....
but when we can see that she grew alot more than that just from her pants only.

Thanks Kay, A is such a cute ballerina.

Thanks Tacori, sorry to hear ice cream = grandma, hope your DH will talk to your MIL about it.

Thanks puffy.

Jas12, we have the battles every day...it''s a pain.

MrsS, sorry to hear about your MIL, hope she get well soon.

Thanks lili, both DH and I are getting better. The faucet runny nose had subside but I''m getting tightness in the chest, don''t know if it''s related...

So over the weekend little B was playing with my cell phone and I wasn''t too worry about him calling anyone because the phone key pad was locked. But then i saw him pushed something and the screen said Emergency Call Button and I grabbed the phone and hang up right away but the cell rang right after I hang up...It was the fire dept. Lesson learned, there is a button not to push even after the key pad is locked.

ack....I just replied to everything I missed the past few days and I PS ate it!!!!!
7.gif
Trying again....

Tgal~I think T and A''s stats are pretty much identical. T was 35.5 inches and 25 lbs when she went in at 20 months.

lili~Thanks for the compliment on my belly pic-you know how it gets, don''t feel small at all at this point!
21.gif
T now knows that baby Kade is in my belly. She loves to kiss "him" and pat him and tries to pull my shirt off and show people her "broder" whenever she can!

Tacori~So sorry about your test. What a PITA!! Also sorry about your MIL. Hope your DH has a talk with her. I agree ice cream is fine here and there, but actually associating her with ice cream...Wow. Just wow! As for binkies....I''m a little torn as well. T only has binkies in her room and only for sleep. She''s even gotten to the point where she hands them to me the second I get in her room to get her up from sleep and says "give Kade binky. Binky baby." So she knows the whole association with binkies being for babies, just not ready to give them up completely. She also uses the binkies more as something to hold so I wonder if I shouldn''t just cut the nipples off and let her hold them to help fall asleep?!? I don''t know.

Kay~I think all moms feel a certain level of guilt leaving kids at daycare, but it''s so nice to actually feel like your kid is actually liking daycare and benefiting from it! I agree that there are some things that daycare actually helps with...especially when they''re trying to keep up with the older ones!

Okay...I''m hitting submit before I lose this one too. I''ll be back to finish!

Kay~LOVE that pic!!!

puffy~House stuff can be so stressfull! I don't blame you for taking a break for a while and if you have enough room, no need to rush. We also have enough room and we'll be fine. I do get a little anxious to get started on the new house since I know that it'll be so much better than what we have now (since we designed it and all) but hopefully within a year we'll be in and enjoying the new space.

Jas12~You wanna trade kids? My "spirited" child has that particular tantrum (over taking food away from her high chair) mastered!
3.gif
All kidding aside, I do think part of it is the age because T has always been quite a hand full and very independent, wants things her way but never did she full on tantrum over it until a couple months ago. Now, we have at least one ridiculous all out tantrum (laying on the floor, crying, freaking out) at least once a day. Funny, though, she doesn't do this at daycare EVER. Only with us. Fun fun.

Bobo~Crazy about calling the fire dept when your phone was locked. DH lets T play with his sometimes...I'll have to let him know he better be paying attention!
41.gif

Not much new around here. T got a cold and it has caused her asthma to act up a bit so we've had some rough nights with her coughing and having to get up in the middle of the night and do her nebulizer treatments. I have been exhausted because of this and i keep reminding myself this isn't even close to what I'm in for come February!
16.gif
Volleyball season is officially over which I have mixed emotions over....so glad to have more time home with T, but I'll miss it. Tayva has asked me when she gets to go to volleyball next, which is so cute because she just loves it, but sad to tell her it'll be a while.

jas12 still tests me all the time, but he knows that i will not give in to him, so he gives up quickly. he''s at abut that age where they start. but good for you for standing your ground! has you m/s been better?

mrsS jake''s kisses sound so sweet!

lili hope J feels better. but i''m sure she''s still her crazy little old self.

tacori YIKES about the MIL giving T ice cream. it''s so great that T is so much more vocal cause now she can tell you everything that goes on.

bobo how are you and your DH? little B is back to his old self?

burk hope T is doing better. and so true it is going to be so much worse with a newborn!! haha, just joking. i''m already starting to mentally prepare myself for the sleepless nights. my mom is awesome though, she has offered to take B to her house a few times a week when baby arrives. i love that idea, but we''ll have to see how B feels about it. for now, he likes the idea only cause he doesn''t have to sleep there right now. haha.

hey everyone! all is well here and we''re in munich at the moment..and its FREEZING..well..maybe not too cold, but to me this weather is a killer..im not used to it..but all is well.K is having a blast and enjoying the walks in the stroller or just running around..one bummer though is that EVERYTHING is in german..no one gave me a heads up about that and ive never read about this anywhere..so it is ROYALLY hard trying to figure out where to go, what we''re eating, ingredients, prices u name it!! i mean we ended up buying FIVE bottles of sparkling water thinking they were still..(we hate sparkling water and apparently its the norm here)..so here they are sitting on the desk staring back at us...i wish i knew before hand i would have at least learned a few words or something before flying out..also we dont eat any pork/ham/bacon/etc or anything with alcohol..so we''ve somehow converted to vegetarians on this trip coz we cant figure out if its beef or not! plus i freak out bout giving K anything coz im not sure if he has eggs in it and i dont want to start up an allergic reaction in a foreign country!

oh well...i think im done with Germany :) we go back in a few days and i miss my home and everything thats familiar :)

Jas12: hope ur feeling better!! i just had my appt last thursday and the doc said i was about 6+ weeks (though im pretty sure im a lot less coz i know when the conception date was
3.gif
sorry to hear about Co and his testing!! K is starting to do that now and man is it nerve wracking! i just tend to put my foot down and walk away and he rolls and rolls on the floor with tears all over the place..but wat to do!

QT: wat a cute way to tell ur hubby!!!! we havent told K yet and will wait till we''re ready to tell everyone in real life..im worried that he''ll point at my very bloated tummy and go BABY in public..eeck!! (already commented in ur other thread but stunning gift! its beautiful :) u must have been happily surprised :) )

Kay: hey !! good to hear from u again..ur girl is just SO cute and i love that shot of her!! totally adorable in her tu tu

Tacori: what a bummer bout the test!! must be annoying..hopefully it''ll be over on friday between that and ur MIL, someone is really testing ur patience huh??

janinegirly: K has only used a paci briefly when he was bout 3 or 4 months..he didnt take to it, and i decided not to push it..

its so funny though to hear how all the different babies on here get comforted by the paci in way or the other..Jas, Co holding it for comfort is just adorable!

TGal: A is a tall girly :) and it shows in all her pics too..guess she is taking after her father :)

puffy: B is going to be an amazing older brother :) been meaning to ask since B took so well to PT, wat do u do while traveling? im thinking between the airport & airplane, toilet runs are too easy...always curious bout that :)

MrsS: just saw the video! amazing :) u must be so proud...so sorry to hear about ur MIL!!!! glad to hear shes doing better though..

burk: sorry to hear T isn''t feeling too well
7.gif
must be tiring..will the baby be sharing a room with T or will he have his own room?

Re: Tantrums. James is starting to assert some independence at 16 months. He also will stiffen his body like a board if he doesn''t want to go into his highchair, kicks and rolls all over when he doesn''t want to be changed and will cry huge crocodile tears if you tell him ''no''. It is sooo hard to not just give in!

Lili - James totally loves his yard - and he has soo much energy. It''s completely fenced in so we can just go out the back door and let him run and play. We are planning on getting a wooden playset in the spring for him.

Tacori - I agree that your DH should talk to his mom. We''ve had the juice/food battles with our families too and it''s not fun! My mom and sister gave James juice the weekend we moved and then he had a blowout
11.gif
We''ve caught my MIL giving him chocolate/sweets too after telling her that he does not need the sugar. If he wants a snack he can have something healthy.

Bobo - Hahaha....DH lets James play with his work phone all the time since it locks. So far no long distance or emergency calls
1.gif

MSB--it''s hard when you don''t know the language. Hope you are home sweet home soon. How are you feeling?

Tacori, burk, puffy, lili, MrsS. --soo glad i am not the only exasperated mom (knew i wasn''t of course) i was just shocked over the power of a battle of wills. I guess i''ve been lucky to avoid them this long, and maybe sticking to my guns will equal less in the future (ya right)

Tgal--yep, ignoring does work. tried it a few times. I think you are good and firm and that''s probably why your tantrums are few and far b/w (that and temperment--we have mellow kids--and i want to keep it like if at all possible!)

Tacori--thanks for the tips--air vents. good reminder. i made mini pies once and forgot the air vents--ha, not good!

Lili---the midi is talkative but it was all about birth! She was crazy in-depth. They wanted to know the whole birth history, physical, emotional, family historty etc. Easily ate up over an hour! Good that J will comply just to have dinner! Co would probably be like "fine then'' and just play. He doesn''t eat much dinner lately. so annoying.
....

My midi appnt was great! Love her. It was 1.5 hours long so i had to take the whole afternoon off work! Just such a vastly diff. philosophy of care. It is so woman-centered. Even things like an ultrasound are optional (some women apparently go the whole pregnancy without one!). They don''t recommend that b/c i am planning a home birth and finding out where the placenta is etc. is important, but when you think of it, our mothers didn''t have a single one. it just seems odd. I need to see it to confirm it''s real. We also weigh/chart ourselves and take our own urine readings (they interpret the sticks right with you there). I get 6 home visits post-partum and 24 hr. pager access to them and connections to my old OB if any need arises. It''s just such a good system, i don''t understand why all maternity care doesn''t follow a similar model. The crunch is on to build our house however. Gotta have a place to birth the kid
3.gif
we can change our mind a do a hospital birth with the midi at any time, but i think this has but a flame under charlie''s butt--he really wants to try for the home. we shall see...

C has started on the tantrums too..is 13 mo''s too early for that? She is such a diva girlie girl. She is bossy and demanding but doesn''t like to push her limits, fall down, etc. She is also going through some kind of attachment thing...if she sees me she is soooo whiney until I pay attention or pick her up. If I ignore her..bring on the crocodile tears with back and head arch. The head arch is a new one! I cave alot..I just can''t help it. I do say no no no with finger wag (TGAL style) and she does it back to me! Sometimes she''ll listen and stop whatever she''s doing, but other times she will cry her eyes out even if I didn''t say no that firmly! It''s all kind of cute I have to admit, but tyrying to toughen up or else she''ll walk all over me once the real tantrums hit! Oh and she''ll give kisses when asked now, it''s the best!

Jas12: gald to hear the mid-wife appt went so well!

Msb: hope you find something fun to do in Munich--any jewelry shops there?!

James does this too! He loves his daddy the most and if DH leaves the room James will throw himself on the floor and start wailing.
6.gif
You feel bad for the baby but at the same time it''s funny because it''s not like he''s hurt - he''s just throwing a fit. Hahaha. The little guy just melts my heart.

I also do the finger wag Tgal style and James will either swat my hand away or grab my finger and try to bite it
23.gif

puffy~I''m going to live in denial about my sleeplessness that is to come for at least a little while longer!
3.gif
That''s great that your parents are offering to take B for you here and there. We are keeping Tayva in daycare for her half days when Kade gets here. So I will take her for the afternoons and hopefully will be able to nap with the baby and get stuff done while she plays with her friends. I think it''ll be best for ALL of us! Do you have names picked out?

msb~I am exhausted from the long nights with poor T. I just feel so horrible for her....she can''t be getting any sleep coughing the way she''s coughing. The baby will have his own room. T is SUCH a light sleeper so them sharing would never work.

Jas12~You and Tgal do have mild mannered kids so I''m sure the tantrums will subside. Me, on the other hand, I will not hold my breath!
41.gif
Glad you love your midwife!! We love our OB and I can''t imagine going through this without that kind of relationship. When does Charlie think the house will be done? How are things coming along? Has the weather been stopping any work? That''s what we''re worried about now that we''re trying to decide when to dig our hole!

Janine~T went through an attachment thing for a few months where she actually would get sad if I even tried to shower (she couldn''t see me). She''s so over it now!
9.gif

burk, I have a Black Berry Curve and when the key pad is locked and you pressed on the "mouse" it will ask you if you want to unlock or emergency call..Sorry to hear Tayva is sick, hope she feel better soon...

puffy, little B is back to his old self and I think DH is almost back except me...I''m still coughing a little with tightness to the chest which I don''t know if it''s relate to me coughing.

msb700, glad to hear K is having a blast. I guess 5 bottles of sparking water is better then 5 bottles of wine since you guys don''t drink alcohol.

Diva, little B had placed many calls to friends with my phone and DH work phone but never a "emergency call." He is not allow to play with my phone anymore.

Bobo--
23.gif
I did not know that about the emergency number on the cell phone.
J loves to play w/ our phone too and accidentally dialed a couple of people already.
That''s too funny about your hubby feeding B cookies to fatten him up.
I guess when you are desperate and your baby is not eating, you''d give him anything.
We did the same too to J and she''s got quite the sweet tooth now.
DH would put some sausage, banana, and cake for her for breakfast.
Which one do you think she had first?
Anyway, hope your congestion goes away.

Burk--
Awww...how sweet.
You definitely need to remember to capture that pose when you do your maternity.
Wow, can''t believe you guys (puffy, QT and you) are more than half way there already.
It seems like just yesterday when you guys announced your wonderful news.

Sorry to hear about T''s cold.
That girl just couldn''t catch a break?
Hope you guys have it under control.

Heheh....so cute that she loves volleyball.
A future volleyball player maybe?
J''s more a football fan
5.gif

She''ll cheer for her daddy''s team "go, chargers" and tell them to "run, run" the ball.

Oh, good luck w/ your house.
Hope everything goes smoothly.

Puffy--
Haha, she is her crazy self even w/ the cold.
Poor thing got the watery eyes too.
She''ll sneezed and tell me "jadie''s sick"

That''s great your mom is there to help.
Haha, you should have her come over and stay w/ you guys the first few weeks :)

msb--
23.gif
I''m surprised no-one mentioned the absence of English there.
That must have been one interesting trip.
But sounds like K had a blast, as usual on all his excursions.
How''s that boy of yours? He must be getting so big huh?

How are you feeling?

Diva--
Ooo....a wooden playset. How nice!
You got to post pictures of him enjoying it.

Jas12--
Haha....am having the same issue w/ J regarding meals too.
She hardly eats anything these days. Snacks and water mostly.
She does eat when we go out, so we make it a point to eat out on weekends.
At least, she''ll get a few good meals that way.

That is a pretty interesting system you guys have.
It is nice to have that option of birthing in the comfort of your own home.

Janine--
I''m afraid not. J was throwing tantrums early than that.
It was just not as frequent as now.

TGal--
Even at 34 inches....A is TALL!
Still a good 2-3 inches taller than most kids her age ^.^
How tall are you by the way?
DH said that J will probably be no taller than 5''3" thanks to mommy''s short gene
20.gif

msb glad you get to be home soon!! when we travel, he will go right before we leave the house (we live literally less than 10 minutes away from the airport). i check in online, so when we get to the airport, we hang out for maybe 30 minutes or less then right before i plan to board, i will take him again, even if he says he doesn''t have to go. we haven''t been on a long flight since he''s been PTed, like 1.5 hours max, so it hasn''t been an issue yet. is K PT now?

jas12 wow, sounds like the midi appt went really well!!!

janine awww, C sounds so cute!! tantrums are such a PITA, but i do admit also that it is kinda cute sometimes to see them do anything to get their way.

diva LOL!! bite your finger!?!?!?

burk heehee, adorable pic. i must say that pic doesn''t even look like the other one. T looks SO grown up!! but i love her eyes, so pretty!! that''s good that T will still be in daycare so she can still be her social self with all her friends and you can be with baby without chasing around a toddler. i am so lucky that my parents are local. when i wake up tired, i think to myself, ''ah, this is nothing, just wait another month and a half!!'' haha. how is T feeling? we have a few names that we are considering. i already call him one name and Dh laughs every time he hears me calling baby by that name cause every single time i do it, the kid will kick up a storm. haha!!

bobo i''m sorry you''re not feeling better. gets tons of rest and hope you get better!! but i''m glad that little B is all better and your DH is getting there too. how is little B?

lili awww, so cute that she''s telling you that she''s sick, but sucks that she is sick. the funny thing with my mom is that she offered to come stay with us for a few weeks, like 2 or 3 weeks. but she said she didn''t want to feel like she was intruding. and basically, at night, it''ll just be me and baby since B will be sleeping. so i guess it would just be nice to have help in the daytime.

here''s a kinda crappy pic of B as mickey mouse. i brought a black shirt and black pants for him to wear under the costume for a more mickey look, but he wasn''t having it.

halloweendisney.jpg

Puffy
B looks so adorable as Mickey.

Kay
Love the ballerina outfit and the shoes are cute too.

I''ll have to catch up later on this week. I was admitted yesterday and stayed overnight at the hospital because I was having severe back pain on my left side. Turned out I have two kidney stones on my left kidney. It''s really painful.
14.gif
OB prescribed my vicodin for the pain and some antibiotics. I''ve been throwing up every time the pain medication wears out. So I just have to keep drinking lots of liquid until they pass.

thanks lili, little B have similar breakfast from DH too. As for sweet tooth, he is actually not that into sweet. He actually prefer salty snacks like chips.

Thanks puffy, little B is doing well. He was schedule for his MMR and his thyroid and carbon dioxide tomorrow but since he still have a cough or two the pedi prefer him to get all better with no cough before getting the MMR and the tests. B is one super cute Micky Mouse!!

QT, I''m so sorry to hear about your kidney stone. Poor you, big hugs. Hope the kidney stones pass very very soon.

lili, I don''t think .25 an inch in 6 months is possible. But this is coming from someone who is seeing like an inch a month in her giant! J is so funny...you have to catch a tanty on video. That should be our FB group video assignment for the week.

Oh, and I''m 5''5", so not tall at all!

Puffy, he is SO cute in that outfit! Hahaha...so smart to know what he wants to wear or not!

Kay, forgot to say it''s good to see you here!

Tacori, you already know how I feel about the MIL and ice cream business.
38.gif
BTW, I was trying to find a past post by someone on the preggo thread and I saw some pics of Tessa right after she was born. She was always a cutie. You know how some babies you look back and think, uh no...they weren''t that cute? Your girl isn''t one of them!

Burk, I actually went looking for T''s stats because I thought they were tracking so close. Your girl is gorgeous, so as far as I am concerned, I am happy that Amelia looks anything like her! I hope the rough nights come to an end soon to give you a break before the baby comes.

msb, lol, yes, I think Germany is slightly colder than where you are? Love Munich though!

Jas, I''m excited to have you go through your home birth. Keep us posted on how that goes. Re: Tantrums, yeah, I crazy firm. Tears into my heart every time but I consider it training for her AND myself because it''s a fact that this stuff only gets worse. I lose now, I lose bigtime later. And no doubt about it, we are lucky to have kids with generally easy dispositions.

Re: Finger wagging "TGal style," are you gals doing the horrendous "AAEH AEH AEH!" sound that comes with it? Hehehe.

I checked my blackberry (Bold, AT&T) and there is no way it can call 911 when locked. Not sure if that is good or not!

QT, I hope you feel better soon girl!

Bobo, Glad to hear little B is doing better. We need an updated funny av of him on PS. You and QT took my favorite avatars away of yoru kids. Thank god for lili''s current av of J!

bobo~DH has the Curve (I already warned him)and I have the Pearl so I better check my phone out!

lili~I was just thinking about maternity pics. When do most people do them? I was thinking early January (I''d be around 34 weeks or so). It is crazy that I''m THIS preggo already. Hard to believe we''ll have another one before we know it!! Asthma sucks. If she just had a cold it would be no big deal....she can handle those symptoms just fine. It''s the stupid coughing. All. Night. Long. I feel so bad for her. So cute that J cheers for the Chargers!

puffy~I know....my little baby is no longer a baby!
39.gif
Her hair is getting so long, her vocabulary so large and her attitude so big that I sometimes feel like I''m already in the teenage years!
3.gif
I think continuing with daycare and routine will be great for T and the 4 or so hours I have with just the baby will be nice to bond, sleep, ect. That''s funny that you call your little guy your favorite name! You are the one who carries him around for 40 weeks and gives birth so you should get final say, right?!?!
11.gif
Love the pic of B!

QT~Hope you feel better soon!!!

Tgal~Thanks for the kind words about Miss T. Much better for A to be similar in size as opposed to other things they could have in common....I wish my T was as laid back as your A sometimes!!

Thanks everyone for thinking of poor T and her rough go with her asthma. Her daytime symptoms are much improved (little coughing) but nights are rough still. Her allergist says this is almost always the case. Unfortunately she still isn''t sleeping as well as she needs, or as much for that matter, so we''ve had some crabby spells lately.
15.gif
Hopefully we''re on the upswing, though!

Q, oh no! Hope you are okay! Rest up.

TGal, you are way too nice. It''s funny b/c we thought she was such a beautiful newborn. Now I look at pictures and am like "wow, she was kinda strange looking" haha. The fact is T looks EXACTLY like I did at her age (minus bangs) so I am so curious to see if she basically grows up to look exactly like me (poor girl
3.gif
). I also wonder if my next one will also be a clone or if DH''s genes with be stronger this time. Clearly mine are the alpha dog.
2.gif
BTW some lady at a girls night our thing I went to last night said her son (5.5 months) was quickly approaching 30". Is this even possible? haha.

Burk, I agree, poor T! I think that is great she will still be going to daycare to give you some one on one time with Kade. They say T is a complete ANGEL at childwatch and it is normal for the mom to get the worse. Not fair if you ask me!

Bobo, you are lucky your little guy doesn''t have a sweet tooth. Mine only wants candy, cookies and cake.
20.gif

puffy, oh look at B! Haha.

Lili, you are still taller than me! We go to the pedi tomorrow.

Jas12, you are not alone! It is frustrating. I don''t think I am being unreasonable. Glad you like your midwife!

Janine, I got a bossy and demanding girl too. It is trying. She DOES like to push her limits though. Haha. Sorry about the tantrums.

Diva, DH says he spoke with her. I am sure he did but I doubt it was stern or anything.

msb, sorry you are having such a frustrating trip. I cannot even imagine how difficult having a kid with food allergies is.

Yesterday my friend invited a bunch of us over for a girls night. It was so fun except of course the girl who was boasting how she was an awesome test taker and then proceeded to tell me that she did poorly the first time she took the GRE (my friend told them all I was taking it on Friday). Err...thanks

She is much younger so I think she just didn''t realize how bad it sounded. Then some of the other ladies were asking me questions and she kept interrupting and answering them...okay....Haha. She also was shocked that I bought a roundabout vs. marathon and said her 5.5 month was almost 30" long. *shrug* Took another practice test and Princesss is coming over tonight. I am going to try to make it to the gym beforehand but this rain is making me LAZY. All the stress eating is out of control though so I should make myself.

T is really loving going to the mother''s morning out. I guess she was leading in the songs and dances and on the way home was singing a song I had never heard before along with hand gestures. It was adorable. Then later she got to play in the 3-5 year old room at child watch b/c there were hardly any kids and had the time of her life. Guess they have better toys. Haha. I think she is still not over her cold so I am just hoping and praying I can stay healthy until Friday night. 2 more days and this test mess will be over!!! Yay! Party at Tacori''s!!!

Puffy--
LOL...B is adorable as Mickey.
Love the expression on his face.
He really did let you know that he''s not having any of it huh?

That''d be great if your mom is over for the first 2 weeks.
Having an extra pair of hands around is always nice.
You''ll probably be handling the baby by yourself, but having your mom around will give you the opportunity to at least go to the restroom w/o having to listen for the baby crying.

So, are you going to take maternity pictures too?
You still owe us yours when you had B.

Burk--

Hope T feels better soon.
I hate it when J coughs too.
Hmm....personally I like it when preggo take their maternity pictures w/ a fuller belly :)
I''m would to say 37 wks -- that''s when you get the preggo roundness in the belly.

TGal--
Haha, I''d taped it if I could -- could blackmail w/ it when she''s older :D
But that girl would always stopped what''s she''s doing and head for the camera to see what I''ve captured.
I think I need a nanny camera or something if I want to capture her activities.

5''5" is tall.
Anything over 5''3" is tall to me.

Tacori--
haha, they always seem to like the "other" playground.
Sorry to hear that T is having a cold too.
I guess tis the season

Ha, I wished I was 5''3".
DH gave J 3 inches over me just because he''s hoping that some of his tall genes are in her :)
I''m only 5 even myself.

Good luck w/ the GRE this Fri.

qt poor thing, get tons of rest!! hope you are feeling better real soon!

tgal haha, thanks. the pic was snapped right after i tried to get him in the other outfit so he was still kinda warming up to the whole mickey idea. your DH must be super tall for amelia to be so tall at her age.

bobo hopefully all the coughs will be gone real soon! is he eating better?

burk poor T!! i hope T and you are both able to get some much needed rest, so get better T!! T''s hair does look really long, such a pretty little gal! i''m doing my maternity pics at 36 weeks, so the end of the month.

tacori i am sure you will do great at the GREs. T sounds like a blast.

QT--
Oh no....sorry about the kidney stones.
Hope you can pass them quickly!

Puffy - Awwww...B is so cute as Mickey!

Q - Oh no! I hope you pass the stones quickly!

Not much new going on over in my neck of the woods. Still sorting through things and getting things put together on our main living area. James is doing great - he''s been eating like a champ lately and going down at night easily too.

TGal, try pushing on the trackpad that you use to navigate your phone on your blackberry when the keypad is locked to see if you have the emergency call option. I guess it can be good in case of emergency and you are having trouble unlocking the phone with trembling hands. Going to go dig thru the computer now to see if I have any funny pic of litte B lately.

Burk, coughing at night is the worse, even for adult. Hope T feel better soon.

Tacori, don''t think I''m lucky, I think little B is just slow catchig on how good the sweet is...Good Luck Friday! Hope Tessa feel better soon and you definitely deserve a party after the test.

puffy, little B''s eating is still the same. I guess he is just not that into food.

Diva, we have moved into our new home for 4 months now and are still sorting thru boxes. Good to hear James is doing great.

DH is having surgery tomorrow on his right eye to fix his eye muscle, I know it''s not a major surgery but still feel nervous about it...

puffy- love the pic of little b as mickey....

qt-so sorry about the kidney stones...yuk...

tacori-good luck tomorrow!!

hope everyone else is doing well. my in-laws just left today after a crazy, crazy weekend. my MIL seems to be back to normal which is great. not much going on in Jake news this week other than I asked him where his ball was and he told me "i don''t know." i was shocked b/c he rarely puts two words together and that appears to be his first sentance.

lili haha!!! B sure did let me know he was not changing out of his clothes to get into new clothes. but it all worked out in the end cause he was super hot in that costume so i can only imagine if i had him in a long sleeve and pants. yeah, i am so lucky my mom is around here. but i still worry about B and how his routine might get thrown off. and i hope he doesn''t give my mom a hard time while i''m in the hospital since kids aren''t allowed there right now. so he might think that i went out of town without him again. we''ll see how that works out.

diva great to hear that James is eating great and going to bed easily, which is always a good thing.

bobo hope your DH''s surgery goes smoothly.

mrsS YAY for jake''s first sentence!!

QT--oh no, i really hope you pass them and it isn''t too painful. scary. get better soon!

Tgal--haha, yep, i ''ve perfected both the ''mother stare-down'' (which was easy b/c the teacher stare-down is oh-so similar

)
and the annoying sound that comes with a finger wag. oy.

Tacori--in uni i used to hate to be around ppl who were about to take, or took, a test i was taking, simply b/c most comments are never helpful. They just serve to stress ya out! Do your best, that''s all you can do.
glad T likes mom''s day out--such a great program. Wish we had it around here.

Diva--we go thru that attatchment thing too. Co is so utterly attatched to me he often cries when DH comes homt, thinking i may leave (which i sometimes, but not always do) it is both frustrating and breaks my heart.

Lili-co eats better when we are out too! weird isn''t it? Must be the novelty and distractions??

Burk--hope T is feeling better! Poor thing
