Give her a hug and kiss for me OK????????

i just lost a super long post...
39.gif
will try a quick recap..

tgal-Jake isn''t talking at all..mama, dada, and ba sounds, babbles all the time but no words. Yay for Amelia drinking from the sippy and straw. I think it''s great she likes water. Jake drinks mostly water b/c I don''t give him milk due to his eczema. I just make sure he''s getting calcium and protein in other places.

Here''s a list of foods I usually feed Jake.
breakfast-banana, dry cereal
snacks-goldfish, cereal, fruit
lunch-turkey dogs, grilled cheese, spaghetti oh''s, fruit, slices of cheese, mac and cheese
dinner is usually what we''re having: grilled chicken, pasta, baked potato, baked sweet potato, broccoli, peas, cooked carrots, pizza, etc.
I also buy the morning star farms nuggets and veggie burgers and he loves them. he also LOVES black beans. I give them to him almost ever day b/c they have a lot of iron which he needs.

lili-J says a lot of words, that is awesome. I can''t wait for Jake to start talking and ditto tacori and curly to come join us.

burk-you need to come play too
2.gif
i was a bad mom and my daughter didn''t even get a warm pizza for dinner. she got a peanut butter sandwich. I did let her have an icecream cone for desert though. jake got left over chicken pot pie so at least he got a few veggies in.

bobo-good luck packing yourself. I hate it and the fact this is the second time in less than a year makes it worse. but i''m so happy to be packing to move HOME

jas12-I am amazed at all the words Cohen knows and comprehends. he is one smart cookie!!

tacori- those are just amazing pictures. I really am going to have to upgrade my camera next. tessa is darling as usual.

Linda, she adores water. Drinking, bathing, swimming, rain...you name it. She will find the ONLY puddle and sit in it.
20.gif
I will give her a great big kiss and hug from you!

ETA: the camera really does make a difference. All those were taken on "auto" and look so much crisper than with my point and shoot. You DESERVE a camera. Maybe *that* can be your reward for being super mom!

She sits in a puddle. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. OMG that is too funnnnnnnnnnny. My two grandboys used to jump in them, but not sit. ha ha ha ha ha.

Linda, she will SIT in them and splash around while giggling of course. It is hard to stop her.

Tacori
Such adorable Tessa pictures. She has changed so much from the last batch! I think you need to get her a "NO FEAR" t shirt haha
(Ahhh, FB. I was wondering where everyone was!)

That''s why it is hard to get upset b/c she DOES have so much fun. Target has really cute girl''s clothes. This is a perfect example of why I cannot buy her expensive clothes. She is such a mess!

You know it is something, how the littlest things keep them happy. Like playing in a puddle, ha ha ha ha. So darn precious.

Those pics are GORGE tacori--so adorable. She is having SO much fun and it shows.
(makes me really, really want a nice camera--my point and shoot would never capture the water spray like that or the crisp colors)

Only have a quick minute but what''s all this talk about FB? Where''s my invite?
41.gif
No seriously, no clue how I''d even find any of you? I want to see more pics!

Jas12
Your new av is so cute! Is Co wearing a cap?

tacori-i might have to suggest the camera. We really are much in need of a new one. I hear ya on the cheap clothes. did you see the picture of my oldest and her exploits today? you can't get mad when they really are having so much fun. I have learned long ago to just grab the camera and go with it. a few years ago my oldest colored all over Lily in permanent marker. i forget to take a pic and am so sad I don't have any b/c it stayed on Lily's skin for about a week. there was another episode involving baby powder and quiet girls left alone in the playroom at ages 3 and 5. you can only imagine and I did get pics of them then.

burk-go back and read bottom of pages 2-3 on this thread

lili, you only got 1 inch of belly fat? I have at least 2 inches.

39.gif

TGal, we usualy cook a big pot of porridge for little B plus frozen organic baby meal from whole food.

Tacori, the house is coming along. The cabinets and the counter top are finished today. Now we just need counter tops
for both baths and paint the rooms, tile the kitchen floor and hardwood floor for the living room and I think we''re set
didn''t know FB is where the cool kids are, got it go sign up. Love the pictures of Tessa, especially the one after the water is turned off.

Jas12, love your new av.

MrsS, this is the second time in less than 4 months for us.

20.gif
Thank God I plan to live in the new house until I die.

tgal glad amelia is taking to the straw cups. B really liked those in the beginning as well. now he drinks out of more adult bottles cause he sees me drinking out of them, so he basically refuses to drink out of his own cups.

lili haha, B does the exact same thing when he does something with the remote to turn the screen blank, he will put the remote down gently and walk away, far, far, away. i would post the maternity pics but we don't have them on CD, just an album that is done all nicely. maybe one of these days when B is in bed and i have the energy to scan some. J sounds like she is doing great with all the talking that she's doing.

tacori GREAT pics of T!!! i love how long her hair is getting! i was pretty freaked out with B in a toddler bed, but i tried it for his nap and i napped on his floor in case he fell off or something. but all that really happened was him bumping into the bed rail. how is everything with you? how is T?

qt i have a series of lenses, and honestly, i use my short lens the most. it is good enough to take close up pics, but with B he is always after the lens, so he is always trying to grab it or kiss it or yank it right off the camera. how was you 1st appt? or is that tomorrow?

jas12 awwww, what a great AV!!! such a cute boy he is!

bobo you let me know where you are, and i am on the first flight out!! is that bad, that i am happy to come pack for you as long as you take my little troublemaker? haha. i'm sure little B will be talking soon. it is so fun when they first start to talk and understand the conversation that the two of you guys are having.

burk haha, B doesn't really seem like the average 18 month old..almost 18 month old. but boy am i glad that he is able to go to the potty by himself in the middle of the night. i just hate it when he decides that he wants to play after instead of going back to bed. he loves his toddler bed, we got him the Cars one with lightning mcqueen on it. it's a total boy's bed, and perfect for B since he loves his toy cars.

mrsS how is jake doing with the walking?

Tacori
It''s awesome that T is so at ease with being in water. M is probably a scared kid. We went in the tub in our master bathroom again today. She was scared; she was hanging onto me. She did put her mouth and nose under water and tried to blow bubbles when I started blowing bubbles, then she got a big gulp of water and started coughing. It was funny to watch. I wonder how she''ll do when we go to lessons.
Love the water hose pics. The colors and the water drop look so good.
Thanks for the opinion on the len. I think I might go with the shorter len b/c I was reading reviews and they say that you lose crispness and there is some distortion at both end. Need to decide soon.

MrsS
I wonder if I should''ve start M in the pool easily. Can''t go back now. I thought you are a swimmer, but I wasn''t sure.

Burk
ic... you''ve been golfing since you were young. How fun to have all these regular family activities.

puffy
Yeah at least she is not crying for as long before she falls asleep, but I would love for her to not cry at all. But I think she has a little bit of separation anxiety at bedtime, if that''s possible.
I am feeling ok. I have a little bit of cramping and a lot of lower back pain. The lower back pain started a week or so ago, but I thought I was just sleeping in a bad position. I never had any back pain in the 1st trimester with M, so this is different. And just sleepy all the time.
1st appointment is tomorrow; I am not sure what my ob will do at the appt. When I was pregnant with M, they did medical background and an external u/s since I was 7 weeks already. This time I will only be 5 weeks, so I don''t know if he will do an internal u/s or not, or if there''s even anything to see.

Jas12
Thanks.
Co is doing great. He has such a big vocab for his age. M is still mostly babbling.
Yay for Co standing on his own.

Bobo
Yeah mines look saggy when I am not full. So sad.

lili
I am worried b/c MIL still offered our nephew a paci and a bottle up to when he was like 3. M is not really into sippy cup at all. She won''t drink from one. She likes drinking from regular cup or water bottle, but it''s b/c she likes to play with the water and blow bubbles. I did offer her a straw with her water again tonight after dinner. At first, she didn''t want to sip on it, then she realized that she can get a mouthful of water and spit it out like a water fountain. So I think I''ll get her some take-and-toss cups and bendy straws, and see how she does with those.
I put her in the tub again today, and she is still scared. I''ll just keep doing it, maybe she''ll get used to it.
Yeah join us... since so many are not posting pics of their toddlers/babies on here anymore.

Tgal
How long did it take Amelia to understand "no"? We''ve being using "no" with M and removing her from the object, but she just laughs. We''ll keep doing it, but just curious on how it went for you and A.

More tomorrow, but stopped in to say those are GREAT pics of Tessa!

QT, I can't remember. I want to say about two weeks? (although we didn't have to say it every day). It started because she wanted to touch the space heater. I was a nazi about it. I NEVER gave in. It was constantly saying no, grabbing her hand (and applying a little bit of pressure), moving her, over and over again. I also made the most god awful sound. It was an "UH UH UH UH UH!" in a retchy voice followed by the finger wag and "NO!" That horrible sound I made got her attention every time, but then she kept trying to touch the heater. After the heater was successful, we started to apply it to other things, but we didn't over use it at first. I'd say heater and the stove (which in our apartment is at the end of the kitchen and exposed - she doesn't have to be in the kitchen to touch it). Also with little things like her trying to smack me in the face. Just from the get go, when I made the "uh uh" sound and said no, I meant business (which is why I picked my battles and started with things that were definite no no's like the heater). Consistency consistency consistency. Also, I did not move the heater so she could not touch it (I always made sure it was off though) so I could use it to teach her "no." She was fixated on it for some time.

ETA, re: laughing...try it with something she really wants. Amelia didn't laugh when we said no (because I probably sounded mean) since she really REALLY wanted to touch that damn heater - enough to cry when she couldn't touch it. She wasn't easily distracted and since she was fixated, it became a bit of a battle that I was determined to win. It also meant there was a lot of repetition involved, which is kind of the key to learning these things I think.

iluv, sorry didn''t see your post there. She does have no fear. Join us in the fun!
2.gif

Jas12, all these were taken on auto. I have yet to really taken the time to learn how to use it. I like how it blurs the background. Makes the subject pop even more. Cute pic of Co in your AV!

MrsS, well that would be a perfect gift then! I do have a nice (and it was expensive) point in shoot I still sometimes use but my D60 is the king when it comes to taking GREAT pics. Also the shutter is super fast which helps with kids.

Bobo, she was confused and disappointed when the water was turned off. So exciting your house is almost done!

puffy, it is getting long! I keep wondering when she will get her first haircut. Maybe not for awhile. There is really no need since it is growing out nicely. B is so independent! I can''t believe he goes potty in the middle of the night by himself! Amazing! We are doing good. Just taking it one day at a time.

Q, I remember being scared of the water. I think it just depends on the kid''s personality. Sometimes it makes me nervous that she isn''t more scared of certain things.

TGal, thanks!

Quick one again (super busy with end of year school stuff and silly house stuff) but had to pop in and say how cute those pics of Tessa are, Tacori!!!
30.gif
It looks like her hair is pretty much all one length? Did you have to cut it? I''ve mentioned before but my T''s is longer in the back and I kind of want to cut it but really don''t think I''d get her to sit still to do so!
3.gif

Hi to the other mommies! I''ll try and pop by this afternoon and get caught up!

Love
30.gif
those Tessa shots! The camera is great, it makes me feel like I am there with her it is so crisp and clear!! You will be so happy to have so many great action shots later on. You have a great photojournalistic style I have noticed.

lili~I really hope some of these stressful house decisions have been make by the time my next cycle rolls around or there won''t be much Bding!
16.gif

Tgal~Thanks for the nap info. I don''t think T is quite ready because like A she''d be so tired by 11:30. She still takes her morning nap around 9ish and I don''t know how I''ll push it back without her eating lunch first. I would ideally like her to eventually go down around 1-1:30. This summer will be a lot of experimenting. Poor Tayva.
9.gif
Good luck with the bottle weaning. T just all of a sudden one day started drinking a ton of milk from her sippy (before it was only water she would drink out of it) and so I put her bottles away. Have you tried any versions of pizza or pizza casseroles? Those are T''s favs.

Tacori~That''s such a sweet compliment the child watch lady gave you! I agree...you guys need lots of babies.
9.gif
I thought of Tessa this morning as T was tickling her baby on our way to daycare in the car. She took all of her babies clothes of and then was tickling her and singing to her!
16.gif

Tacori, love the pictures of Tessa! She is adorable!

Mrss~Thanks for the FB info!
2.gif
I see nothing wrong with a peanut butter sandwich-that''s still one of my favs!
3.gif

Jas12~Love the new avi!!

puffy~No, not the "average" 18 month old at all! T doesn''t talk near as much as B and she talks and communicates WAY more than all her friends at daycare who are B''s age and older! That''s so cute that B has a Cars bed. We''ll see how T is doing when we move into the new house...may get her a toddler bed then so we can use the crib for a new baby (hopefully).

QT~Yea, it will be fun to golf as a family. Good luck at our appt!

Tacori~Just read your answer to my Q about cutting T''s hair. Hers is growing out really nice without having to cut it!!
