Puffy- I'm so sorry about B's accident. Please don't feel bad. These things happen to the best of moms and dads. So glad to hear he is feeling better and in good spirits. How cute that he is the hospital sweetheart! It made me teary that he was so worried about you when they were checking him; what a sweet, sweet boy you have. Hope his healing continues to be quick and thorough.

MrsS, Jake is so cute! I can''t believe how big all the April babies are. I have the same booster. Love it when we go out to eat. I gave T milk in a bottle for 3 months until she magically decided at 15 months she no longer wanted to use a bottle and went full time to her sippy cups. One of the things that convinced me to splurge was that she would be using this stroller for 2 years before I would need a double. And who knows how long I would need one before the next baby is back in a single (I am planning on 3 years apart). Plus there is not much decent out there for $200
38.gif
I even tried ebay.

snlee, thanks. I am only back for today and then we leave again. Busy month! It was nice being with DH and I felt like I liked him more than I had in months. Haha. Yay to no more middle of the night feedings! Awesome news.

Puffy, sounds like B is as happy and charming as always. Hope he gets released tomorrow!

fisher, guess I should have thought more about the stroller at first. I cannot believe some high end strollers don''t even have baskets. That is CRAZY!

Jas12, thanks. DH of course does not understand but since we are giving his mom our old full size I really did need to buy SOMETHING. I LOVE my volo but not for walks unless we are traveling.

tacori-isn't the booster the greatest? We were at my sisters last week and I borrowed her's and loved it. It was so much easier to clean than my highchair and I love that it's portable to take to restaurants or when we visit family/friends who don't have a highchair. I ordered it last thursday and it came yesterday. I gave my highchair a good cleaning and it's going to Salvation Army. it took up so my room in my kitchen. My sister's friend has 2 small boys and never even bought highchairs for them. She used the booster from the get go and has been very happy with it. Since you all are planning on more kids, I think the stroller is a good investment. you will get your money's worth for sure.

jas12-I think Co and Jake are a lot alike too. whenever you post things about Co It always reminds me of things Jake is doing.

We are cutting back on milk. The dietitian thinks she may be lactose intolerant. She can handle cheese, but large amounts of whole milk make her poor belly a mess. Hopefully we'll hear something about our offer (haven't signed and finalized yet)in the next couple days.

Tgal~So glad A's appt went well and yay for crawling!! We are lucky we're not in Cali. The midwest is very reasonable for home prices. For our area, though, these lots we like are priced crazy high. We have a "back-up" lot if our lowball offer gets us nowhere. Oh, and T didn't like to drink milk out of her sippy at first so we did milk in a bottle just so she'd get some. By 14 months she was done with the bottles. I would start by introducing it in the sippy, but if she doesn't go for it use the bottle as "back-up."

janine~yay for a tooth!! I'm glad your pedi was able to reassure you about her ears, too.

Diva~sorry about your friend. **HUGS**

Tacori~Tessa looks right at home in her new ride!! Our basement will be a walk-out (not my choice...DH was dead set on it). I hope you have a great vacation with the whole family (and Tessa does well in the car). We're driving to Minnesota this summer (10 hours) and I'm scared of Tayva in the car for that long. I'll need to get tips from you!

mrss~Those pics of Jake are so cute!! "more" is the only sign T ever chose to do too!

snlee~Thanks! That's great that you have no more middle of the night feedings. Good sleep is in your future!

Such a sweet pic of Hunter. So tiny and adorable.
congrats on the job. When is the big move?

Burk
Good luck on the lot.
Poor Tayva with the vomiting.

Jas12
Didn''t know you were building also. Good luck.
Glad the first day back to work went well.

lili
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADELYN!!! Enjoy dim sum.
M''s fever was gone Sat night, so we did go the festival. It was too hot for that outfit. I think she still fits it, doesn''t seem like she grew much since her 6 months check up.
Are we supposed to hold off berries?

Happy first birthday sweet J!

MrsS, I love it. Mine is a different color though (red and tan) but it is great. She even likes to sit in it (on the floor) with the tray off like it is her little chair. It holds her in tighter than restaurant high chairs. Plus love how it has the shoulder strap so it is SO easy to carry even with a diaper bag and holding a wiggly kid. My high chair is actually easier to clean than the booster and I love it so the booster was just an addition not a replacement. How is the packing going?

Lor, to the best of my knowledge she did but who really knows. My SIL actually took care of her 80% of the time and did everything by the book. They all just fell deeper in love with T b/c she really is such a happy and sweet little girl.
30.gif
Even FIL seems to become more involved.
36.gif

Burk, we are actually flying
14.gif
2 hour, direct flight. Pray for us. Haha. I am breaking out the harness and I found a flight vest that attaches her to our seat belt. bringing books, coloring stuff and DVD player. Oh lots of snacks too! Hopefully the two hours will FLY by. 10 hours is the longest drive we have done with T and will do it again in July. My biggest tip...DVD player. It is difficult b/c it is hard for her to fall asleep in the car. I need to buy one of those pillow things that go on the harness so her head doesn''t flop as much. So between that and snacks...also we try to drive during her nap time or at night it isn''t too bad!
2.gif
I personally like walk out basements. But then again I like flat driveways and you usually can''t have both. I am picky!
11.gif

Q, I think berries are a common allergy so just do what you feel comfortable with. Neither DH or I (or our families) have food allergies so I wasn''t too worried. Though I still have not given her peanut butter.

Jake is adorable. He is such a big boy.
We had that booster in a different color for eating out. I wanted to get a shopping cart/highchair cover, but DH insists we get the booster.

snlee
Sounds like D is doing really well in his crib. He''ll start STTN in no time.

Puffy
Brady is a toughie. He is such a charmer.

Thanks Tacori... I''ve given her little pieces of strawberry on two ocassions. I am not too cautious with giving common allergy food. So bad.

Q, if she didn''t have a reaction I am sure it is fine then. I would just make sure to introduce any "trigger" foods one at a time (just in case).

BTW, I think T is teething AGAIN! She woke up at 3 am and moaned for 90 mins. DH went in there to rock her. She only cried when he left. So then this morning she was chewing on her pj''s sleeve. Great timing huh? Better pack the motrin.

QT~Thanks. We''re keeping our fingers crossed. Glad M is feeling better.

Tacori~I''ll be thinking of you and your DH!
3.gif
At least it''s only the 2 hours of sitting still and it sounds like you have all your bases covered. We''re actually thinking of going at night so it''ll be dark and she can sleep. She doesn''t sleep well in her carseat during the day so I''m afraid she would skip napping and be even more wiggly. I like walkouts for the aesthetics but I agree the driveways are a PITA and letting our super old dog out will be tricky as well as the kids going out back to play....they''d have to go down all the stairs of the deck to get to the yard. Hope T''s teeth don''t bother her too much! I hate teething. I hate even more that they can''t tell us what''s wrong so we''d actually know "hey mom my mouth hurts" or "mom my stomach hurts" instead it''s just a guessing game.

Happy Birthday to Jadelyn!!

re: the booster: my sister had the red and tan too. It's the only one I saw in any store I checked but I found the blue and green online and ordered it instead. I wanted mine to be a different color so when we were together we didn't have to worry about mixing them up, plus blue is my favorite color and I liked it
9.gif

burk and tacori-bummer about the teething. jake is teething again too and it's just no fun. oh and tacori, packing is going. My mom is going to come back again next month to help. we are also going to get rid of some of our furniture (thank goodness) so I don't have to worry about taking it back. I've been wanting a new couch for years and once we get back we'll just buy a new one.

q-I agree with tacori if you gave her strawberries and their was no reaction she probably fine.

thanks for all the sweet comments on jake. he's a special little guy

I'm back. Had to pop over to the preggo thread to read Blen's story first :)

MrsS--
Hehe, love that "so big" Jake picture!
30.gif
30.gif

It's so fun when they are actually communicating (or understands what you are asking) w/ you.

Puffy--
So glad B is cheery and that's so cute that he's consoling you.
Hope the healing continues.

Snlee--
No middle of the night feeding -- that's music to my ears :)
That's great D is adjusting well to the crib and his night schedule.

MrsS--
I love those booster too.
We got 2. One at home and another in the car for when we go out.
J had the same one Jake has....except I don't use the removable tray because you guessed it -- J is always pulling it off

Ava looks exactly the same as when she was born.

but Ava's adorable face is always there

Burk--
Good luck on the offer!
Hope T feels better soon.
She''s okay w/ yogurt right?

Lili, trust me, she is a shortie!

Burk, plus I would worry about flooding when houses are below the road but I am sure you will have a great builder. The benefit though is the basement is NOT a cave. Something about sea level or clay soil is why they can''t do underground basements in NC. I can never get a straight answer. Did I mention I got a plane vest from one step ahead that connects to a seatbelt. I figure we will need ALL the help we can get.

MrsS, I totally like the blue one better but could not find it locally. I figured, oh well. Does it REALLY matter. I keep it in my trunk usually. Yay for help from your mom AND new furniture!n Can''t wait til you back to the south where you belong girl!
2.gif

lili, I love that booster too. So much better than restaurant high chairs. I am sure Sat. will be so much fun. Take LOTS of pics!

iluv, I splurged but figured it was worth it since we talk walks all the time. It steers like a dream. Happy (early) Birthday to Ava!!! Your kids are adorable. Love her retro glasses. I can tell she has sass and I like it
2.gif

We leave EARLY tomorrow morning so I might be MIA again. I''ll try to stop in at least once b/c I do miss you guys when I can''t PS. This is by far the most important thread to me. Hope everyone has a great weekend, great b-day parties, Brady a speedy recovery, and smooth building plans!

M is officially army crawling. She did it once on Sat evening trying to get the bag of tissue we were using to wipe her runny nose. Today she is army crawling to get her toys, so I know it''s not just a fluke last time. She looks like a little worm.

Ava was so alert as a baby. Time flies huh. She is such a cutie. You have good looking kids.
Hope Ava''s party next Sat will be a blast.

Tacori
Yes I do wait a few days before giving something else that''s new. DH and I don''t have any food allergies, so I thought M would be ok.
Have a wonderful trip and a Happy Easter.

lili
I wonder if our pedi will give us a hard time for letting her try those allergic foods. Oh well. She didn''t react to them.

MrsS
I think the blue one is new. They used to have a blue one for the regular version, but not anymore.

I''m so behind on this thread I am not going to try and catch up, but wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the birthday kids!!!

ILC Your kids are adorable! I love Ava''s glasses-my kind of girl!

QT Yay for crawling! That is awesome.

And in news over here Max rolled over from his tummy to his back! Twice so far today! He''s a strong one so I am not surprised. And they have started "talking" to each other! It is so freaking adorable. Sometimes when we put them both in their bouncers side by side they will turn towards each other and start having a conversation. It is hilarious-I will try to get video of it soon and put it on FB. I wish we could post video here!

Sleeping is getting better...they aren''t going down early enough for my liking yet but they are sleeping like 10pm-4am, feed, then back to sleep until 7 or so-I''m not complaining! We''ll work on the earlier bedtime slowly I guess.

And in SUPER DUPER exciting news I get to meet Tacori and Miss Tessa this week! We are very excited-the boys can''t wait to go flirt with Tessa.
2.gif

Anyway that''s it for now-I do read the thread everyday at least but it''s so overwhelming sometimes to respond to everyone that I feel guilty and just don''t post instead.
40.gif
I will try to feel less guilty and post more often!

MrsS --

what''s different in the soy yogurt from the yo baby yogurt?

do you think Jake may react to the soy ingredient instead?

lili, the soy yogurt still has whole milk based enzymes so I knew there was a chance Jake could have a reaction to it for that reason and sure enough he did. he can eat/drink other soy products without any problems though. I''ve given him a little soy milk and he tolerates it just fine. I just don''t know how much of it I can give him. I''ve thought of trying rice milk too. I figure I''ll just have to wait until I get him to the dr. and see what her advice is. I gave him mac and cheese I made with butter and no milk and he did fine with that so who knows what is going on
