Prong setting into bezel

I want to set my diamond into a halo. It's approx. 6.2mm, if I buy a 7mm prong semi-mount, does anyone know if that extra 0.8(ish)mm will be enough to create a bezel for the stone?

I would not do this without consulting the bench person who will be making the changes. The reason for this is that many of the lower priced settings that people find attractive are often too thin to be modified easily and so may not be suitable for the change that you want. Another thing to think about is that it is much easier, (less expensive), to make this sort of change prior to setting the diamonds in the halo and adding a bezel to a halo can result in gold solder flowing into unexpected places and creating a potential mess. Ask whoever will be doing this first!
