Princess diamond help - AGS0

hey PS''ers!

once again i call upon this great community for help...many thanks in advance!

i''m looking at two 1 carat AGS0 princess cut diamonds and would like your opinion on which one might be the prettier one....

F-VS1
5.47 x 5.44 x 4.00
Table 73.8
depth 73.5
crown 44.6
pavillion 40.2
girdle 1.8 to 2.9
no fluorescence

H-VS2
5.48 x 5.36 x 4.05
table 69.6
depth 75.6
crown 41.0
pavillion 40
girdle 2.0 to 3.4
no fluorescence


i''m been reading some of the posts that the table size shouldn''t be too big....is the F-VS1''s table too big at 73.8%?

for a AGS0, does H show any hint of yellow at all? i haven''t seen the diamonds yet and i probably should this weekend...

gosh, it doesn''t really get any better than an AGS0. Do you have pics? I''d probably have the vendor eyeball them side by side and give me their opinion, unless you can find a way to see them yourself.

unfortunately, i haven''t seen the stones myself, but hope to do so this weekend....i''ll try to get pics before then and ask for your opinion again.

i have gone to stores to look at diamonds (not these two diamonds, but other ones at other places), but to be honest, i have very inexperience eyes and can''t tell the difference between one and the other; especially under their bright lighting, everything shines. however untrue i read it to be, it looked like all diamonds are the same...

any tips when looking at a diamond or comparing diamonds side by side? the store has idealscope as well as microscope, but no ASET equipment to compare the two (not that i know how to use one, haha). the vendor did say they''re both absolutely gorgeous and shine with minimal amount of light...

do you know of any demo/free software to analyze princess cuts? just as third reference or should i not confuse myself with the softwares?

honestly, since you get to see them side by side and they are both AGS0 (the best cut out there) just go with your eyes and heart and see if one speaks to you more than the other. you may not see a difference so then go with the cheaper one

. seriously though, you''ve already gotten the most important "C" covered and are going to have a stone that will out perform most that are out there. i personally wouln''t worry any more about the #''s just go with what you like and what feels right.

thanks mrssalvo and john.....can''t argue with that, cheaper certainly sounds attractive,

i guess all these numbers do get to my head sometimes

.....which is probably why my gf is pissed off at why i''m taking so long, haha....
