im in need of some help im currently looking at this 1.01c princess cut, vs1/good cut.

one thing im worried about is the depth is pretty big would that impact the brilliance at all?

Hi Humey and welcome!

The depth is more than we usually see and it's not as straightforward as that affecting brilliance which might not be a concern. It's facing up a bit small for the weight but that's not altogether the fault of the depth in these shapes as there's many places weight can hide. It actually looks quite nice to my eyes but it depends what you want, do you want the best cut Princess you can get?

That this particular Princess is more rectangular than square, is that ok with you?

Is it possible to get an ASET image for this diamond if sold online or is it with a jewellery store?

Have you seen it in person and what's the price?

Hi Humey,
I agree with Lorelei that the 87.5% depth might not affect brilliance...but.....
It's a HUGE red flag for most buyers ......meaning that the price of that stone had better be much less than the average price of 1.00ct G/VS1 Princess cuts

yeh the price is 3600usd so it is a bit cheaper. I was a bit worried it being rectangular but it only being .045 difference i was hoping i couldnt notice.

I havent seen in person

I know the picture is magnified but it certainly looks rectangular, I don't think I could not notice that.

I had a .24 princess that I returned because I could see that it wasn't exactly square .I may be more neurotic than most though .

Yeah, I think ill go with the 2nd option i just posted. Bit more expensive but ive actually seen it.

Are you positive the wearer wants a princess cut? Just checking as they are often a love or hate shape.
Since the corners are more fragile, I recommend you have it set with V prongs or double prongs. Don't rely on single prongs.
