Price Question :o)

Hey everyone

I had a quick question that I was hoping some of you might be able to help me with. We recently purchased the stone for my engagement ring after months of searching( 1.73 ct Oval diamond 9.63 x 7.11) and are just trying to pick out a setting now. We are planning on changing my setting when we get married to platinum but would like to do white gold for right now to keep the cost down. I would really like to get a band with a halo that had micropave on both the band and the halo. My jewler sells his settings for cost when you purchase your diamond from him. He has several companies he works with frequently, but I wasn''t in love with any of the settings I saw and none really had what I wanted in our price range. Ideally we''d like to spend $500-$600 on my setting since we are going to be changing it later and just spent a lot on the stone. Is it possible to find a band & halo done in micropave for that price? I''m not looking for a designer setting right now. I would actually like to turn this into a right hand ring with a colored stone in it down the line when we switch. If you have any vendors you think I should check out, please, please let me know. well many of the colored stone folks and myself buy from Lord of Gem rings (LOGR) on Ebay. Its not superb craftsmanship, but does the job for a very fair reasonable price and still well made. just have them make a custom head to fit your stone, shouldn't cost too much, then have your jeweler set it,

Thanks a bunch! I checked them out on Ebay. Do you by any chance have pictures of rings you purchased from them, or know of a thread containing pictures of rings others have gotten from them?

here is a thread right now going on in the Colored forum, maybe mosy on over to that forum. its not for an oval but you can kind of see the workmanship and diamond quality, you can always upgrade the diamonds as well. I bought a setting but its not haloed though,
