Pretty much set on this one! Any feedback before I pull the trigger?

Hey guys - got my heart set on the below 1.38ct E VS1 and was just wondering if anyone had any comments before I go ahead. I've been looking for quite a while now and I think this checks all the boxes for me. I really liked it in person too. The funny thing was I was gonna buy the 1.41ct D VS1 (also posted pics of this below) but they looked SO similar - yet the 1.38 was 5.6k USD cheaper - and I really couldn't tell the difference. At the store I asked another guy working there to pick out the E (out of a lineup of two D's and the E) and he picked the wrong one - made me think hard about why I was paying an extra 5.6k for! I also posted the pics/ASET images of the 1.41 - comments would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

THey are both beautiful but I certainly would pay $5.6k more for the D color when they have the same dimensions and clarity!

Did you mean "wouldn't"?? :Up_to_something2:

It looks like a great choice to me. Beautiful ASET and fabulous hearts and arrows. Great job on finding a beautiful stone and saving some money!

It looks perfect. I’d personally prefer an AGS000 over a GIA XXX now, and saving $5600 is just the icing on the cake!

Team 1.38 here.

Are these JanPaul?

1.38 for me too. Minimal difference in spread and colour but a lot cheaper.

Plus I prefer AGS graded stones.

Jann Paul is prolly the best vendor in Asia to my knowledge.

Two superb stones in all aspects, you really can't go wrong with either, so if you're heart is set on the E and it's over 5k cheaper, that's brilliant.

Good job. I'd always go with an AGS 0 over a GIA XXX. I have a D color diamond and the difference between E and D is minimal and certainly not worth an extra $5000.

Most people are not color sensitive enough to tell the difference between a D or E. Save the $5k and put that towards a gorgeous setting or wedding band, IMO.

They are both very fine stones and I wouldn't mind paying $5k more for the D color (I had a 2.05 D-VS2 oval). However my choice would be the E color stone, because 1 - it is AGS graded, and 2 - there is only a .02mm difference in girdle diameter versus .04mm in the GIA stone (yes we are splitting hairs here but the AGS is more round) and 3 - the GIA has more weight in the girdle.

Thanks guys for the comments!! Really appreciate the helpful feedback!
I ended up going with the 1.38 stone :) ... just couldn't justify the extra USD5.6k spend
