I promise this is a bling post but first this is an appreciation post.
I put a stunning ring aside end of last year with Jocelyn (Gilded Lane) and utilized her amazing layaway plan. To me, this ring or really stone I was after, was to celebrate coming off an anti-anxiety drug that proved to be extremely difficult emotionally and physically. I started the layaway right after I hit my year of being off this medication because it was such a huge feat considering I had been taking it for 10 years. I put in a lot of hard work in therapy to get to this point and dang it, I was celebrating me
Fast forward. Since starting my layaway, I’ve been following Jocelyn’s stories - she posted a lot about her kitties and dogs. She started posting about one of her kitties, Bob, that had cancer - my family was also supporting one of our kitties, Opie, through chemotherapy for his lymphoma. Sadly, she had help Bob cross the rainbow bridge and my heart hurt for her
Last Monday, we too had to make the gut wrenching decision to help Opie cross the rainbow bridge. I paid off my layaway the same day we let Opie go and I told her about our struggles. She asked for some pictures of him which I shared gladly. All of this to say that my ring came in today - the same day we picked up Opie’s ashes. I open my UPS box to find along with the beautiful ring, a stuffed animal with Opie’s coloring. Of course I was a mess because of the sweetest gesture and kindness shown by Jocelyn - so I just wanted to say what a truly wonderful experience buying from her has been but also say just what a thoughtful human she is first and foremost!
The ring! The ring is beautiful, of course! The center is a 1.6 OP/SI2 surround by a halo of .74 cts of old European cut diamonds. There is a semi cup around the center stone to bring out its buttery undertones and what an awesome design choice that was! The ring just glitters from every angle and looks killer in lower lighting! I grabbed some pictures that are ok but they don’t capture her sparkle - one day I’ll get really good at that…maybe
So here she is, her name is Marigold!
I’m throwing in a picture of Opie because he was the best boy ever and I miss him terribly!
