Preferred Pendant Setting?

The diamond is from JA so I'm guessing that it's easiest to purchase the setting from there too as I'm not looking for a custom design. Which setting style do you prefer, and why?

It's strange to me that 35 people have viewed your thread but only 2 have voted, so I'll bump it for you! I voted for option #1 as I just don't see the point in the diamond bail with a plain 4 prong basket setting. The diamond bail would come into play more with a halo setting, IMO.

thanks for the bump diamondseeker, i was worried i'd done something wrong when creating the poll!

thanks also for your input - i think you're right and am also leaning towards the 4 prong basket setting. the only reason i was considering the bail was because it might allow for more movement of the diamond, but i like how the plain 4 prong is a more classic look. i may end up getting the setting with the prongs set up in a north/south/east/west direction as opposed to a square.
