For the past couple of days, I have been practicing with my camera using my cat as a model. Today, she was not cooperating, so I decided to focus on a subject that does not sass back. Today, the malaya is showing off its red.

That''s it for now. If the sun comes out, I will see if I can catch its flashes of orange. Thanks for looking! :)

I love it omie. I think it''s absolutely stunning. And good job with practicing!!!

Such marvelous color and cut... thank you for sharing the photos. BTW, I feel your frustration: my cat used to toss my rings in the air during our photo sessions. She''s retired from modeling now...

Nice shots!

Beautiful, and fun!! I love taking pics of my gems, and I''m figuring out new ways to get better shots out of my pathetic camera.

Gosh, that''s pretty! What are you going to do with it?

Omie, have you decided on the setting yet?

Thanks Freke! I am still working on my photo skills, as I should be able to get closer than I was able to. BTW, your gems are lovely! I would love to play with your gems, yummy!

Thanks Rockit and it was my pleasure sharing. That is so funny about your cat, she sounds fun. Post some pictures of her in the ragdoll thread in the hangout!

Beautiful! I love the cut also.
Thanks Mochi. The cut is awesome, it was one of the reasons why I bought it, as it really brings out the color in the stone.

Thanks. BTW, I love your necklace, not sure if I had said so. I am thinking of buying my friend the green version.
