Aww, thanks Sunny! Feel free to steal, I stole it from the knot LOL. According to the lovely and wonderful Freke, and our baker, you should use Suisse buttercream to get that look. It''s made over a stove top like a merangue (spelling?) and is buttery not saccharine sweet and just the perfect accent to a truly yummy cake.Date: 5/20/2008 1:07:54 AM

Finally my cake. But the flower decorating the top layer will look NOTHING like that (no orchid antenae). They''ll be orange and green. And the flowers on the bottom layer will be a couple of small orange orchids. I also found that exact cake stand. It''s simple but it''s just right for us... and to show of the lovely flowers. Plus the buttercream actually (gasp) looks edible instead of like plaster. Which I think it a nice bonus.
