that is more than enough time firstbase. make sure you are diligent about perusing vendor stock and think about getting in touch with a vendor that is willing to find you exactly what you want. once you find what you are looking for, make sure you at least put a courtesy hold on it if you will not be paying immediately. you will have the diamond of your dreams soon, i am sure of it.

do vendors like james allen allow you to pay like installments? Cause I would have 90% of it to put down but wouldn''t get paid for another week. I''ve never made a purchase this big except for my blazer so I''m completely new in this area.

i read on here that whiteflash does, but i don''t know about james allen. you could always call jim and ask him.

aight...thanks very much! Have an awesome week!

USA Certed is a PS vendor.

An E-Thin girdle is a no -go on a princess, IMO.

shallow with an extremely thin girdle.... i would pass.

go down to ''g'' color and save your sanity!

Belle, would you consider an I?

do i e-mail them and have them send it to me? last time they had a link you clicked on and they would e-mail it to ya then.

Yes, they will email it to you.

Ask them what happened to their Signature Collection! Because the 100% tradeup is supposed to be on their Signature Collection, which no longer exists? They''ll explain everything, I''m sure.

i have e-mailed them about a couple of diamonds and a question or two and they haven''t got back...the first time i e-mailed Jim he got back like in 20 minutes. It''s just weird. I wonder if he''s out of town or something

Nah...you can always call.

Usually, they should get back to you by the next day (when you're making intial contact.) Anything under that is extra kudos to the vendor.

ok i just found a link where you can talk to a live person from there

I''d give them a call and ask??

firstbase32/Pricescope Forum,

We upgraded the JamesAllen.com mail server at 6:00pm on Monday and it looks like we may have lost all inbound emails from 6:00pm ast night until noon EST this morning.

Yes, I am going to strangle my email administrator, but even that won''t bring back the emails.

If anyone has sent any report requests or emailed our staff and not received a response, *please please please* email us again.

In the meantime we are working to resolve the problem and get our email back and running at 100% capacity.

Warmest regards,

ok so i think that''s our answer haha

I have zero experience and knowledge of princess cuts so I''ll step aside for the experts, but I wanted to chime in and say that Jim at JA is a super-classy guy and great to work with. I trust him and his staff a lot.

Here''s the "ideal scope image" e-mail that i got....

Hello,

We had the opportunity of chatting today through JamesAllen.com. To answer your question regarding an ideal scope image and other detailed information that we can provide, we could easily provide the information that you have requested. However, we would need to have the diamond brought into our office in order to provide those services. There is a standard fee of $25 (per stone) that we charge to have diamonds shipped into our office for examination. Although, if a purchase is made, than we waive those shipping fees. Below you will see exactly what services we can offer when a diamond is in our possession. Just let me know what you think and I will be more than happy to help. I look forward to your response. Thank you.
When we bring a diamond into the office, we perform the following services:

We take an Ideal scope image.

We take a Magnified image.

We run a Megascope/Sarin report.

We compare the color to other GIA graded diamonds in stock.

We examine the diamond in different lighting environments, comparing the brilliance and fire against any other similar diamonds we have in stock.

We check the clarity of the diamond under a microscope and make sure the diamond is 100% free of any visible inclusions.

We perform any other services requested by the client that can be done using the tools and resources we have available.

yeah, unless you find a virtual stone that you are SURE about, it can be costly to have diamonds brought in for just a looky look. try to stick to in house stock.
