Hey All,

Here's a quick poll as I'd like to email them tonight. :D The story: After I went to the gem show yesterday (OMGOSH! so much fun!!!!) I learned that the bezeled sapphire and diamond band will look great with my stack! :D Now the stock sizing is 6.5 and I need a 7.5 (darn squishy fingers!) so a doubled stone is necessary. I'm debating between a few options. Here's the picture of the standard ring:

Do I stick with just sapphires to keep the blue/white look?
Do I do something different and add some purple? (This would defeat the idea of a Red/White/Blue stack, but then if I did that it'd be a blue/white/pink stack so purple would totally work)
Do I do something totally different?

Help this indecisive one!

Edited to add the picture. :)

Yes, only do sapphires and diamonds. I think it would look bad for the extra stone to be another color. I would choose diamond for the extra stone because I think it would be less noticeable than two sapphires side by side.

I like DS's idea to double the diamonds, so I voted for "other". Hopefully your budget would allow for the extra diamonds (I'm crossing my fingers :)) ).

Hmmm....I'm not sure about the diamond because I'm guessing it will need to be another larger bezel so it'd be:

SAPPHIREdiamondSAPPHIREdiamondSAPPHIRESAPPHIREdiamondSAPPHIREdiamondSAPPHIREdiamond
BLUE white BLUE white BLUE BLUE white BLUE white BLUE white

I'm wanting the color, so I wouldn't do 2 diamonds (because then there'd be 4 diamonds together)

This was my other idea:
SAPPHIREdiamondSAPPHIREdiamondAMETHYSTAMETHYSTdiamondSAPPHIREdiamond
BLUE white BLUE white PURPLE PURPLE white BLUE white

Yeah, I'd make the extra larger bezel a diamond because two sapphires in a row is going to look more odd than a colorless stone. Really, I am not sure I'd do it at all unless they add one large and one little bezel to keep the pattern the same. I have to say that I really don't understand the idea of adding in two amethysts to a diamond and sapphire band.

:D Thanks for the comment DS! I like the idea of the purple because it's my favorite color AND because I used to have an amethyst ring. I want the double color, since I feel it is going to stand out either way, I might as well play up the color. :)

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I promise that I'm trying to be helpful. If you go w/ a double amethyst, are you going to want to make sure that the "double purple" is always showing on top of your hand or are you okay w/ the ring moving around a bit (if your rings move/spin like my RH rings do) and the purple stones show up as "surprises"?

Since my RHRs tend to spin, I'd probably opt for 2 extra small diamonds if possible (one on each side of one of the sapphires = BLUE white BLUE white white BLUE white white BLUE white BLUE white BLUE ...) or one additional large sapphire only because I would be distracted w/ the color change, but that's totally "me" (& I'm a wackadoo :)) ).

That's probably not an issue for you and if you like the idea of having a touch of Amethyst along w/ your Sapphires, then you should go for what you really like. Let us know what you decide!!

Hey Roxy,

Not dumb question at all! I'm guessing that *I* wasn't clear! :D I'm ok with the spinning (surprisingly) and the purple surprise. ;) I hadn't thought of the diamonds like you are suggesting and it is valid however, I think the extra diamonds would be not as POP as either double sapphire or amethyst.... :D

Now I'm back to the waffling board! Talk about a wackadoo!
