Niel, your 5-stone is one of my favorite rings! I absolutely love how all 5 stones come together. The proportions are just perfect. There is little metal allowing all focus on the stones. Just love love love it! Is there a thread with profile pics?

I used baskets with those thick bands as my stones are ks, but i also just really like that look.

any chance your 3 stone might turn into a 5 stone Just kidding

do you think youre leaning toward buying new stones or using your studs??

@Niel, I am still debating whether to reset as the current setting is less than a year old. Feel so wasteful if you know what I mean. I might try selling the setting. If it finds a home then I'll feel less guilty about resetting it yet again. The studs are probably too big, not in terms if proportions, rather too many carats on one finger that I'd feel uncomfortable wearing. But your 5 stone...yes I am tempted!

I know what you mean. At least in my area, if my ring cost too much (regardless of his many cts) I would just be uncomfortable.

I have decided to use the melees to make a half/full eternity ring depending on cost.

Any thoughts on how this ratio changes if a CS is the center stone (e.g., ruby)? Does it affect how your eye perceives the different sizes?
