I had a visitor on the hood of my car today.
Photo taken through windshield.

Then the mate showed up and one of them left a little poop......of course!

I captured this image of Mount Fuji while flying into Japan from China (work trip)IMG_4179.jpeg
Brings back memories for me. That’s how hubby and I remember Mt. Fuji from our trip to Japan many years ago.

Most amazing sunset the other night. Also, this week, looked out my window and what a surprise on the roof!!!! Good news the birds won this round. Slither (name I gave him) withstood about 15 min of dive bombing and head shots from the mama and papa birds then he finally gave up and went down the gutter!! Lastly, a couple photos of the many birds that visit my bird cafe daily, the cardinal is especially beautiful and I see him pretty much every day.20240327_194629.jpg20240327_194515.jpgResized_1000011352_503773737016105_1712854868069.jpeg20240321_160445.jpg

This raccoon just came up to me in broad daylight. Not a good sign. I hope he is OK.
This is in the backyard

Poor little baby. I know he cannot be hungry because we feed all the animals. Just weird seeing him in broad daylight when he is supposed to be sleeping and supposed to come out at night.

Giant kangaroo rat seed stash with bonus side-blotched lizard, Carrizo Plains National Monument, California.

We had just read about how giant kangaroo rats “cure” grass seeds before stashing them in their burrows, when we came across this seed cache alongside a remote trail.

Unfortunately, for all their industriousness, kangaroo rats are apparently easy prey for someone. We also came across several partial kangaroo rat carcasses on our hike!

They are awfully cute, but I don't think they make good pets!

I've only had one bunny in my yard so far this year. Last year they were everywhere, adult and babies and juveniles and wiped out most of my gardens. Not sure if I'll see as many this year but am looking for "bunny proof" plants now.
