Why they didn’t perform a chest X-ray will haunt me for a long time. She was more or less swept out the door because she was lucid enough to state she wanted to go home.

Thank you @Luvallgems my house has been a trial but I sincerely appreciate your kind words because I am sick of that damn house.

I hope you don't feel I shoulda, coulda, woulda, I would bet a billion your mother knew just what kind of advocate you were for her health.. covid screws everything up. Your mom's death was damn fast in one way, although I don't think we are ever prepared for our moms to die, I had at least the knowledge that my mother had lung cancer, she refused all treatment so I knew the inevitable outcome was her death. Our terra firma is gone, our balance is off, our universe is askew, MOM.. as I said to you, I'm here, I feel so bad because I know you tried your best, you did what you could and I would BET a million trillion she loved you very much. So little to say but I do send you a huge, fat old lady Kate the GREAT hug.. we are forever changed, and we become the people they thought we were. all love to you.

I appreciate your kind words. If my Mom had survived she would have faced major challenges. The Dr. said she may have had amputations due to the lack of blood flow to her extremities. I know in my heart we did our best under the circumstances. I think about her constantly, she knew I loved her. Give your precious granddaughter a big hug for me. Enjoy your beautiful new home, all the stress and headaches will be worth it.
 
I lost my dad to sepsis 21 years ago. I feel your pain. Big hugs to you as you navigate the days ahead.
