Hello. Long time lurker. New member. Please help me rate this stone.
It is not hazy/milky. However i just have this photo.
What do you make of this?
I am looking for size and sparkle. I know a rounds sparkle can be guided by cut grades. But what is a great sparkling cushion look like?

Are there any red flags or absolutes when it comes to this.Screenshot_20200410-095220.jpgScreenshot_20200410-095204.jpgScreenshot_20200410-095101.jpgScreenshot_20200410-095220.jpgScreenshot_20200410-095204.jpgScreenshot_20200410-095101.jpg
Thanks much in advance!
Any advice appreciated!

I am not the greatest fan of this style of cutting (would rather see larger facets - eg. www), but I have to admit that the stone looks bright enough to be good (comparing with the pave around it) with a serious caveat - if the shot is taken under professional lighting, I would ask for a daylight only picture, else, I do not know what am I seeing.

I'm not a fan either. The light return doesnt look that great even for a crushed ice stone. I would think it would be easier to find better.
The pictures are blurry so that doesnt help either.

Ditto.

Purely from an aesthetic POV, I don’t like the look of the cushion.

I dont like it much either. Looks quite mushy, though that could be from the photo being not great

Sorry to add to the chorus but another vote for no. It has mushy facets and it isn't pleasing to the eye IMO. Ofc YMMV but it just doesn't look well cut.

What is your preference in cushions? Modern cushions vs antique cushions? Going by this one I am guessing modern but just want to make sure. Have you looked at antique cushions? They can be gorgeous with chunky delicious facets. But in any case this one I think is a pass.

If you share your budget and preferences perhaps we can help you find the cushion of your dreams.

hi everyone... im looking for the crushed ice look. not chunky cushion. photos aren't great at all. but im told its ok.
is there anything that are tell tale signs of what to look for or stay away from in a cushion like this? are there any red flags to watch out for? obviously this won't be as bright as a round brilliant, but how may the sparkle compare? any way to know if its a dud? do they hold more color , or is a GIA color true to what it is? (if that Makes sense) here's another photo... thoughts? Screen Shot 2020-05-12 at 9.56.40 AM.png

I think David at Diamonds By Lauren has the best photos of crushed ice cushions. You might take a look at his site and find ones with the same facet pattern as the one you’ve pictured to see how their performance compares.

To answer your color about GIA color, it’s accurate - GIA and AGS are accurate, others can be less so.
