Hello everyone. I'm new here and need some help if possible. So I just bought these engagement and wedding rings at an online auction. The seller guarantees they were purchased from James Allen but lost paperwork. Can anyone tell me if I got the real deal. Anything helps. Thank you Screenshot_20240304_231531_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20240304_231833_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20240304_231400_Chrome.jpg

Unfortunately, the time to ask these questions would have been prior to your purchase. There is no way we can definitively tell if they were purchased from James Allen. The seller should have had a receipt or certificate from a lab detailing the stats on the center diamond. I would probably take the rings to a jeweler to have the diamonds tested to see if they are natural diamonds.
Did the seller tell you anything about natural diamond vs. lab diamond, size of the center stone or color/clarity of it? On what basis did you make the purchase?

No just a guarantee that they were purchased from James allen. There's a engraving inside the band though with JA. It was an online auction. I took a risk. Paid $250 for both

Does the gold look real in your opinion? I don't think there a fake James Allen rings out there.

Can we see the engraving showing JA? also, please recognize that the diamonds might be fake given the low low price

If they're actually gold then 250 is a fair price.

The James Allen engagement rings online appear to have ‘James Allen’ spelled out. Not sure how old these rings are though. Is there a stamp inside the ring which would indicate like 14k or 18k or a number of some sort? Fine jewelry should be marked as to the metal content.

If someone wants to guarantee something you are purchasing, they guarantee it with paperwork and receipts. Telling you they guarantee it is worthless.

Selling a legit set like that for $250 would be a seller taking a huge loss. Not impossible but a bit unlikely. However, again we can only tell so much from pictures. Take them to a jeweler to check the authenticity of the diamonds and the gold.

I purchased them from an online estate auction, so I'm not sure they even knew what they were selling. The sellers parents died and they sold everything in the house. I've spoken to someone at James allen, they informed me that they do not make gold plated or any fake gold rings. Also mentioned thre are no fake/knockoff James allen rings. The auction house confirmed with the seller there is a James allen or JA engraving inside the bands. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks

No unfortunately the seller didn't take a picture inside the band. I called the auction site and they confirmed with the seller it has the JA James Allen engraving inside the band. I bought them from an online estate auction I think the seller's parents passed away and they were getting rid of everything in the house

Ok, in that case my guess is that the rings are probably actually from JA. No clue if anything (diamonds) are real though. You'll need to get the rings and check

Will keep my fingers crossed for you as well! Please keep us posted as to what you find about the rings.
