I always feel safer with AGS 000 than with GIA XXX because its more precise. However, I don't love paying for clarity over VS2 because it is usually not visible to the naked eye.

I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay an extra 1k for the AGS one even though its gorgeous.

If I were choosing ans they were the same price or within $200-400 I'd likely say that it's worth theexchange. But for 1k it's harder for me to say what I'd do myself in your shoes

This looks like a gorgeous stone but when I looked at the report, it has a CA of 34 and PA 40.6. That seems like I’m going on wrong direction with those specs. Thoughts?

@flyingpig the HCA is .6, would that be acceptable. Sorry to be a pain with all these questions. I just want to make the best decision with the right guidance.

I think I found the one I’m going to exchange mine for. It’s only $200 more and the cut looks good. A bit worried about it being SI 1, but was assured to be eye clean. HCA is 1.2. I’d love feedback from everyone, though.

I just edited my previous comment to ask about the IS? So cool that they gave you that! I didn’t know it was an option, if not part of their TH brand. It’s a gorgeous diamond! It will definitely be eye clean! I cannot see the black crystal at all on either of the SI1s I have. I have really tried, lol. I’m leaning toward the G, but I still have not 100% decided. Part of me is still worried about the 35/40.8 combo even though I’m holding a 34.5/40.8 right beside it. I just don’t know if my eyes are missing something important.

My guess is the idealscope was asked for before JA stopped providing them due to Covid. They no longer provide upon request, as a chat rep told me when I asked for about IS for another stone.

I do feel like it’s milky looking. I’m really leaning to this gia stone. I love the crispness of it compared to the AGS. I like the price too! Hoping it won’t be a let down after letting my VS1 go for return. Here’s the link to the 1.22 stone. Do you see any red flags?
