Price difference around $1000 @lovedogs
I always feel safer with AGS 000 than with GIA XXX because its more precise. However, I don't love paying for clarity over VS2 because it is usually not visible to the naked eye.
I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay an extra 1k for the AGS one even though its gorgeous.
If I were choosing ans they were the same price or within $200-400 I'd likely say that it's worth theexchange. But for 1k it's harder for me to say what I'd do myself in your shoes
6.8k? That is expensive.
If you willing to spend more.. 6.5k

Are you set on JA?
At 6500, I'd consider dropping to VS2. Whiteflash has this 1.074 I VS2 A Cut Above in that price range.
Diamond | 1.074 ct I VS2 A CUT ABOVE® Hearts and Arrows Super Ideal Round Cut Loose Diamond AGS Certified | 4369573
This Whiteflash A CUT ABOVE® super ideal cut hearts and arrows 1.074 carat I color VS2 clarity loose diamond is graded by the American Gem Society (AGS) Laboratories. | 4369573www.whiteflash.com
The 1.8 is actually $6500 not 6800

This looks like a gorgeous stone but when I looked at the report, it has a CA of 34 and PA 40.6. That seems like I’m going on wrong direction with those specs. Thoughts?

I think I found the one I’m going to exchange mine for. It’s only $200 more and the cut looks good. A bit worried about it being SI 1, but was assured to be eye clean. HCA is 1.2. I’d love feedback from everyone, though.
@lovedogs & @flyingpig ? Any thoughts are appreciated. Will post the GIA also. I have it on hold for an exchange. Thanks
Definitely looks like a winner! The size difference will be nice too!
Thank you Heidi! I’m a bit worried going from the VS1 to SI1. They have assured me it’s eye clean. Have you made a decision??
@Heidibrooke My JA diamond was also not “True Hearts” but had an ideal scope image attached when I found the same stone through the Pricescope diamond search. My guess is the idealscope was asked for before JA stopped providing them due to Covid. They no longer provide upon request, as a chat rep told me when I asked for about IS for another stone.
Ok everyone, I’m down to the wire and have picked two stones to choose from. The first I already posted above; GIA 1.22, I SI1. Also posted Ideal Scope above. HCA 1.2. Now I have a second stone. This is an Ags 1.18. Anyone care to advise? @flyingpig, @lovedogs or any other experts? Thanks
My decision deadline is Monday!

No expert but the AGS0 will be a safer option as the numbers are more precise than GIA.
Make sure it is not milky or cloudy when you receive it. It is something that is hard to tell in these videos. Otherwise, the numbers and images look very good
