Gorgeous setting - I can''t wait to see the completed ring. I think it will look beautiful in which ever stone you decide on.
Ditto.

What a unique and lovely setting, and it will look stunning with any diamond you choose!

Love this setting, unique, beautiful clean lines, with both contemporary and classical elements. This setting fits very well with both of the AVCs you are considering as both setting and stone have both classical and contemporary elements to them. The setting has a knifedge, delicate claw prongs and clean smooth surfaces all which are modern contemporary elements, with the side channels and stones in the profile giving it a more classical feel. The AVC has the classical antique chunky facets but with a squareish outline and optimized light performance which are more contemporary elements. Very nice pairing please make sure you get lots of pictures and post them when you are done.

What a lovely setting! It feels antique and really suits the August Vintage cushion.

I''m glad you guys like this setting! It will be quite a while till I can afford it so I''m sticking to the GOG pave temp setting till I''m sure I have my "forever" stone, which seems to just get harder and harder.

A question for Starshine if you are still reading:

Do you have any photos of your AVC? I would love to see them since I am mentally wavering wildly between the G (better cut and clarity) to the F (better face up size and color.) I believe GOG has already set the F we bought so it may be decided for me for now, which will be okay since they are both gorgeous... and I don''t want to drive my boyfriend too insane, but I still want to learn as much as possible.

What sort of setting do you have now?

Update: Without my asking Jonathan made me this wonderful video. Finally seeing the stone set has given me confidence.

Maybe the optics aren''t 100% but the truth is I can''t tell at all and I love it—and the temp setting turned out beautifully I think!

Will post pics as soon as I get to see it in person.

Thanks SO much again!

How much do they want for it? and I would assume you have to send them the stone to custom make it right?

I just had a Flora ring in gold priced from them, and they want $8500 for it. Yikes! It''s beautiful, but I''d really have to think hard about that one.

I haven''t called McTeigue & McClelland about the setting. I will be in Great Barrington in the spring so I hope to visit once I''m more certain of my stone.

I''m guessing it''s in the 5K range, so I have to be very sure!

My second fave setting is:

Wow Library, I will have to call before I get my heart set on it...especially when my stone was less than 12K!

I am sure you can get that setting made for much cheaper even from Leon Mege! However, I think BGD or Whiteflash can execute it as well. I am guessing in the 3-4 K range but maybe way less since there is no pave but the stones look bigger and could bring up the cost.

Wow Kat! I gasped when I saw the video...your ring is stunning!

I can''t wait to see more pics of that beauty!

I will try to get some pics up of my AVC. It is in a holder type ring thingy (technical term? lol) that they sent it in.

The design looks pretty easy for a really good custom person to replicate, which the necessary changes to avoid outright copying of course.

Thanks Starshine for the compliment on the video and to Charmy and Dreamer for the setting advice. I will definitely visit the McTeigure Massachusetts shop at some point and report back. The prices might be insane but I have to see their pieces in person, I just love the website so much!

Has anyone seen the completed Adrianna ring Leon has for sale on his website? I love the photo! I have trouble describing/differentiating the type of chunky cushion in the Leon and the AVCs. Can anyone help on that?

I am going away for a week on Saturday and hoping to come back with ring photos :-)
