Please Help Me Pick a Vintage Band for my OEC!!

I love 3. I love that it goes but is not matchy and I think if it can be sized it is amazing.
I also like 4. It is more of a matcing look but it really goes so well with tour ring and i love the width.

I love #3 -- I think the facets of the french cuts actually match the faceting patterns in your OEC. The width of this band doesn't bother me at all. My next choices would be #4 then #5 in that order.

4 and 5 round be my top votes.

Hi Staci!!

I love the french cut band, but it's way more money than any of the others. And I really have no idea if it's a decent price since french cut bands are relatively rare. It's 1.5 ct and the best price was 3k including tax. Just for fun, here is a picture of a much larger vintage french cut band with the thinner one I tried. They are so gorgeous in person!!

ETA Never mind about the photos -- I cannot get the photos to upload properly tonight. I don't know what is going on!!

Do you think you'll go to Singlestone? I wanna go play with bands!

#5 and #2.

I like it with your mom's band the most.

Okay, trying to post the picture of my mom's band again. Hopefully things will be working a bit better this morning.

Your mom's band looks nice with it, too. It's kind of like the box-set one, except with a little swirl to it.

And I think it's quite a bit thinner than the box-set band with less metal overall.

I would LOVE to go to Single Stone to play with bands, but realistically I don't see it happening this trip with the holiday and family obligations and all. I so wish SS weren't downtown!!!!!!

4 or 5 for me!

Oh gosh - love your mom's band!!

(Where's a taser when you need it?)
JUST KIDDING!!!

5!

In order, I like 4, 2, and 5. All of those look good with it, just different looks. I think the carre cut and french cut bands don't go at all... they're beautiful, but don't work with this ring.

They have another shop in San Marino, but I think the selection is much smaller. Much easier to park compared to downtown.

In my experience 3k is actually a very fair price for that french cut band.
French cuts are very pricey even small ones.
Also even the smallest french cut band from SS is over 6k.
What about Leon's calibre cutband? I thought it was below 3k and would be so pretty with your ring.

I really like #2 but it does seem just a touch too wide to me - but that said, you really seem to like it, and keep going back to it, so maybe it's the one for you! It's a really pretty look.

I also really like #4 (but at the same time wish it was just ever so slightly a bit wider) - but I love the look of a thin diamond band, just seems so elegant to me and complements your ering really well without overpowering it - I've been looking for something similar to wear with my solitaire.

And I think #5 looks fantastic with your ering - the engraving adds interest and is really pretty, it really makes the stone pop, seems like the right height and it's a good width.

Your mom's ring looks really pretty too - I think it's a good width for your ering.

I think your mom's band looks better than the other 4 diamond bands you posted. So hold out for a better one!

I vote band 4

I love band 5! Your mom's is pretty too, but I think 5 is elegant and lets your amazing OEC be the star.

I love your mom's band with it!

You hit the nail on the head. Band 2 is a tad too wide and band 4 is a tad too thin. It's very hard to find one that is just right and also just the right price. For some reason I am really drawn to band 2, but it sounds like most people think it's too wide. I also don't know how much I'm begin swayed by the fact that it's so affordable. It's only 700 vs 1400 for band 4!

It's so hard to know when to hold out and when to decide that something is right enough. Or maybe it's clear when something is right and one feels no need to post a thread asking for opinions!

Yes, I think you're right.

Just for fun, here is the thinner french cut band paired with a much larger one. Both vintage and both gorgeous! Hopefully the right picture will load -- PS has been squirrely for me over the last 12 hours.

I like 4 and 5 and your mum's band best.

I'm still sticking with my original preference - #5 :praise:

I have usually found that one things like this, when its right, I don't ask opinions! :))

Oh, so true!

I like it with 5 the best because the little carved flowers remind me of the patterning in the OEC, but I can understand wanting a band that also has stones in it, so second choice would be band 2. Then you would have 2 bands to switch out depending on your mood since you already have band 5.

Okay, back with two more options.

Band 6 is 88 points of single cuts in platinum with no engraving.

I like band 5.
Your OEC ring is beautiful and needs a band to contrast . (Is this why you like #2 ?) The other choices are too similar geometrically .
Maybe something a little swirly or free form ?

And I like your mom's band....
